Yankee Village Restaurant — Restaurant in Westfield

Giant hair in my biscuits and gravy. I was really hoping this place was a little gem hole in the wall, its just a hole in the wall. The food is pretty bland and could use some love. The only thing that tasted normal and worth eating was the hashbrown and pancake. The corned beef hash was only cooked on the outside and then folded in half and not cooked inside. The inside reminded me of canned dog food. It was terribly mushy inside. The biscuits and gravy was extremely bland and thats where I took a bite and pulled a very long hair out of my food. Needless to say I was unable to eat anymore of the food. My daughter enjoyed the pancake and hashbrown but even the sausage links tasted odd and my daughter didn't care for them.

I am giving 3 stars because the service was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. She had 2 other tables and her interactions with each table put a smile on my face. 1st time there, went for breakfast, had omelette & chicken fried steak, food delicious, hot, clean, served fast, with great customer service! Asked if I could order anything from lunch menu, (was 10:30a.m), was told they usually do a little later, no problem. Waitress comes back says chef would throw a burger or "what did I want" on grill for me, but I just wanted to take a container of soup home, which I did, cheeseburger chowder. I just visited Yankee Village Restaurant for the first time and the breakfast I had was awesome. I had the Western Omelette, Hash Browns, Rye Toast and Coffee. It was EXCELLENT from start to finish. I've lived in Westfield for almost 5 years. The very few "1-3 star" reviews I read didn't jive with what I had heard about Yankee Village Restaurant for the last 5 years so I decided to try it for myself this morning. The food was excellent.
