Los Morales Westfield — Restaurant in Westfield

I’ll be brutally honest…Not a good experience. The aesthetics are unappealing, the building needs ALOT of work and it is uncomfortably warm. When you enter, no one acknowledges you and when someone finally does, they tell you to find a table yourself, if you can find a clean one. Once you find a table, you wait and you wait and you wait. Finally you get drinks and your complimentary chips. The chips are decent, the salsa is tasty, but needs some heat and the mystery white dip was a favorite of my sons. My husband had a strawberry margarita that he enjoyed and I noticed other patrons seemed to be enjoying their gigantic margaritas also. Some customers eventually left without ordering and many were disgruntled that they had no silverware when they had finally received their food, many had to walk up and get some at the bar, where no bartenders were present. After quite some time, we received our food, piping hot and smelling wonderful. It was delicious!!! If they can get fully staffed, the building updated and add some appealing decor, they will be extremely successful! We love Los Morales in Adams so we were very excited there's now one closer in Westfield! They were very busy and very understaffed (they were so busy Friday none of them got to eat!), but the staff were very welcoming. Sure there's a few kinks to work out still, like with any new business, but they've only been open a few days and were bombarded with customers! They didn't have deep fried ice cream like we were hoping for dessert, so we tried the Churros and were NOT disappointed!! The food was delicious and worth the wait! We, too, ate there a day or two after it opened and the restaurant was swamped with patrons! That led to slow service as several people have posted. However, we will certainly go back as the food was outstanding and the restaurant employees were doing their best to provide service with a smile in light of all the customers they were trying to serve both in-person and with pick-up orders. It's nice to see a restaurant occupy this space which has been vacant...
