McDonald's — Restaurant in Westfield

ANYTHING THAT GOES BEYOND THE COUNTER !!CANNOT!! GO BACK INSIDE THE COUNTER!

We went in on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at around 1PM. Workers were rude, tired, standing around and doing nothing. I’ve worked at a McDonalds before, it was my first job! So I know how a McDonalds should generally be. They didn’t check to see if the orders were correct, we got no napkins in the bag, which is sadly normal for a McDonalds, so no points off for that.. But the forgot the sauce. And, I had asked for no whip cream on the small strawberry shake. Easy, right? Less work for people just standing around while dozens of orders from both inside and outside pile up on the screen of orders in the kitchen, only a few moving slightly. I understand it’s not the best job out there, but you still have to DO your job to get paid. They took my strawberry shake from BEYOND the counter (once food goes past the front counter, or outside of the employee-only zone, it is NOT to come back in, even empty cups for refills!!) and took the whipped cream off. It still had some in it, but what if I was allergic to whipped cream? Weird, odd, but still entirely possible!! And who’s to say that somebody else couldn’t have just taken other food they’ve left up there, taken it, eaten from it or put stuff in it, hand it back as wrong or incorrect, and they just send it back off to someone else?? There was a line in drive through, and it wasn’t packed inside, but there was never not someone waiting at the register or picking up food in which they had ordered. There was occasionally someone on register, but mostly just, again, people standing around. I had told the nearest worker, who my mother had later told me was a manager, that my drink was wrong. The prices were expensive, though. $5.99 for a large fry? Crazy. The management here was terrible, and I don’t suggest it. They didn’t respond, and was just rude, acting like it was a burden. A burden to do your JOB? In which means to do stuff you are PAID TO DO?? Going back to before, ANYTHING THAT GOES BEYOND THE COUNTER !!CANNOT!! GO BACK INSIDE THE COUNTER! That includes when you order a coffee and ask for them to fill YOUR cup instead. It’s literally a safety and HEALTH risk!! Not to mention the tables were sticky and dirty, yet were cleaned with minimum effort to LOOK clean from afar?!...

No good front end customer service for dine-in option. I had to wait for someone to come out front to the registers and mumble to me, "what do you want to order?". I ordered 2 happy meals: a 4 piece and 6 piece nugget with fries and apples each, and sweet and sour sauce. Could not order fountain drinks because they were out of order. Fine, up charged to milkshakes. $16.99 for 2 happy meals with milkshakes. During the 15 mins it took to get this order, I watched 2 other customers come in with incorrect orders. 15 mins later they poured the milkshakes. Then they hand me the food. Give the food to the kids, no sauce, no apples, no toys in the bag. I go back to ask for these things and am told there's no toys. So now I've paid $16.99 for 2 handfuls of fries and 10 chicken nuggets and an apple, and small milkshakes. At grocery store cost, a handful of fries probably cost 50 cents, 10 chicken nuggets probably $2, an apple 80 cents ? And 2 milkshakes- buy a half gallon of ice cream for $3 and make my own. Total cost $7, maybe $8? So then why do we go to McDonalds? Because of the EXPERIENCE: fast, clean, correct, fulfilled service. And the stupid toy that the kids nag me for. Please train your staff to stop looking at their phones and start doing their jobs. I won't be...

Update: The owner called me to apologize and to indicate that measures have been taken to correct the issues I experienced. I will update this in the future if the service improves.

This used to be the best McDonald's in the area, not anymore.

They regularly have been forgetting to bring me my order when they tell me to park and wait after going through the drive-thru. I recommend you don't wait, as they have shown they will forget about you.

They have botched my order several times, more than any other McDonald's I've frequented.

I asked to speak to the manager this morning and she turned her back to me the whole time, and never apologized for forgetting to bring my food to me. As I was walking out, I could hear her complaining to the crew.
