I have been coming to this extraordinary bar/restaurant since they opened & it is amazing! My husband & I come here at least twice a week for lunch or dinner, I meet my girlfriends here, we bring our grandsons here( temporarily staying with us) and I gave gift certificates to 4 of our neighbors, this past Christmas, for Christmas 🎁, which tells you how much my family & I love coming here! It is owned by the Hannoush Family( which I never knew until 6 months ago, in all the time we have been coming here!) who “always & consistently are extraordinarily remarkable, in every business they own, so I think that fact “says it all!” NABIL is unfailingly friendly, accommodating ( brought me a chair one time when no tables were available to sit down on for I had quite a wait but it was well worth it!) and personally goes table to table, each time I have been there, checking on everyone’s “whole experience” & after being in hospitality business for over 35 yrs., since retired, “THAT IS THE SIGN OF A GOOD, CARING MANAGEMENT/OWNER, THAT SEPARATES THIS AMAZING RESTAURANT FROM THE REST!” He & his wife do such an amazing job with this restaurant & consequently do to their caring, have a fantastic wait staff that are happy to be there & it shows! My husband & I just love everything about this restaurant! They ( NABIL, WIFE, CHEF & WAIT STAFF!) all collectively, take such pride in this restaurant & it shows! I absolutely love, love, ❤️ “L-O-V-E” their grilled swordfish ( usually only on “special daily menu”) & would go there “JUST FOR THAT” alone. It is grilled perfectly, good size too( they do not cut on portions which make you want to return!), moist & melts in your mouth! I just love it! How I wish they could get red snapper( like restaurants in Florida carry but not available up here unfortunately) for bet this chef would grill it perfectly, as well! I love their fish sandwiches, Reuben sandwiches & their sautéed spinach is amazing. It is my husband’s favorite, along with their eggplant fries( do not miss it!) mushroom burgers ($1.00 extra & you can get half a lb!), grandsons love their chicken quesadillas, chicken wings, Cajun chicken pasta & so much more! I love their menu( wish they had true Mediterranean salads w/ olives, feta cheese , salmon & chicken and baked/mashed potatoes as sides & Key lime pie! Yum! Probably no room to eat it though! 🤣)! Consistently friendly, fast service( get food to go often, too!) & everyone absolutely needs to try this place if you have never been here! Read moreI am a delivery driver. On 9/24/2021 I arrived at 6pm to pick up an order. I told male bartender I was picking up a delivery order for Jim L. My delivery app said pickup by 6:09 I will say it was very busy. I have delivered from here before. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The bartender said it would be ready in a few minutes. I waited until 6:30pm and asked a waitress what my order status was. She went to the male bartender and he then said to me that the delivery computer wasn't working, therefore they had no order. I complained to the bartender that I drove 8 miles to get there and waited 30 minutes for nothing. The order was not even started yet. I never did deliver the order and had to cancel it with no pay. Management at this restraunt should instruct the staff that delivery orders should get some priority. The reason why you order online ahead of time, is so when you arrive, the food is ready. I get the feeling that because we are not the customer, then the staff can take their time on the order because they can blame the driver if the actual customer complains. Read moreWe have been hearing good things about Shortstop Bar & Grill from friends on Facebook. Tonight was our first time dining there. We sat outside under the tent. We had ordered our food and were listening to the band when a gentleman came over and asked us if we would be more comfortable sittng by the fire, so we moved to a warmer seat. We later learned the gentlemen we spoke with was the owner. We shared teriyaki pot stickers and a bowl of butternut squash soup, both were very good. For our main course we shared a flat bread pizza and a parmesan chicken dinner special. Again, both were very good. What stood out the most to my wife and I was the constant cleaning and sanitizing by the staff and the owner. The entire staff really went out of their way to make our visit memorable. We will definitely return!! FYI, you can call ahead and reserve an outdoor table under a radiant gas heater, VERY NICE, AND WARM!! If that is not enough to keep you warm, the staff came around to each table offering a fleece blanket to anyone who needed just a little extra warmth.
