Maplewood Burgers Moss Bluff — Restaurant in Westlake

I finally made it to Maplewood Burgers in Mossbluff. I ordered a five piece bone in wing 🍗 and the cheese burger 🍔 with fries 🍟 combo. Im not sure what they do to the hamburger meat to change the consistency. I'm not a big fan of that unknown aspect of the burger. I assume it helps when it's being stuffed. I did enjoy the well put together burger. The big 🍔 burger was accompanied with a large serving of delicious seasoned fries 🍟.The 🦴 bone in wings 🍗 were spicy and delicious. The offering of table service was unexpected. My server Caven was on top of his game. He was knowledgeable of the large menu, on top of our every need. He made a point to be courteous throughout my visit. Caven is the reason this review reached a full five stars. I was so impressed how this young man preformed. He was at work not expecting a tip for giving poor service just because he took a order and placed it on the table.He followed through and made my dining experience so much more then just stuffing my face. He was there to work and earn his gratuity. Thank you Caven. Some people may ask why am I making a big deal about the service, It is because now days it's hard to find good service so I wanted to let everyone know and table service wasn't expected. We order here a lot, and it seems like the service, and communication has gone down. When we order online and we go to pick up, it shouldn't take an additional 10 minutes or more to get our order(never had this issue before). I show up 15 to 20 minutes per your instructions, and now it suddenly takes additional 10 plus minutes to get our orders.

When I asked about why the service has been less than, the last few times, I'm told it is because they drop the fries as we get there. That's a first for me, being told that. She had sass as well. Which is to be understood, I gave attitude and was not happy.

The turn over for employees is really an issue as well. Not real sure what is the issue lately, but it's not good business.

I first tried Maplewood in Lake Charles. I honestly wasn’t impressed. With the food and especially the customer service. I thought I would give this place a try still. All I can say is wow! The atmosphere at this location is so much better. The manager was amazing. He checked on everyone multiple times. Assisted his employees. He even checked on them and explained stuff amazingly when one questioned something. Definitely a boss you would look for. The food was magnificent. Hot and fresh! However, the only complaint I have is that the portions are small for the price… the other location had a larger portions. Example: we ordered the fried pickles. Maybe 15 small pickles for $5-$7?
