Had a very bad experience at this place for the first and last time. People were coming in getting their orders, so I said ok must be good, sat down, waitress came over and asked were we ready to order we said kinda still looking, she rolled her eyes and said I will be back,(really!), so we have her our order, wonton soup was bland, didn't eat the egg roll yet, food came out, shrimp fried rice tasted bland, no seasoning, dried rice with shrimp on top, sweet and sour chicken was dark and crunchy, called waitress over and explained I didn't like the food and to take off my bill, she asked if I wanted something else, in told her no I'm good, well you pay for wonton soup, and egg roll, I didn't even touch the egg roll, she then stated that i was wasting food and I was gonna pay for it! I told no I'm not paying for something I did not like, she then said I could leave and don't come back!!!! I asked for a manager or owner, she said I'm the manager ,so I asked, is this how you treat your customers when they come in here, then stated she gonna call police to make me pay, i told her call them or do you want me to call them, then she kept saying leave or i call police, you waste food and not pay, so she was gonna charge $20 and my friend said bill was wrong, she said well pay $10, I told him don't give her anything because of the way we were treated, I will be reviewing...
Read moreFor the last 20+ years, we have been going to Yuns Chinese. We have always felt that the food was very good and you got enough helpings for the price. In the last year, it is bad. We have tried it 5 times and each time we found that the quality of food has gone down and the portion size has been cut and the price has gone up. One example was we got almond chicken. 70% of each piece was breading! We took off the breading and saw how thin the chicken was. They have changed the rice in the last 6 months and even though I do not notice a difference, my wife does not like the new rice.
The service is still quick and fast, but since the pandemic, they no longer have a sit down restaurant and it is 100% carry out.
It was told to us (never confirmed), that the restaurant was sold and maybe that is why we have seen the change. We now get our Chinese food from the golden chopstick in westland. This place is maybe 5% more cost than yuns, but the food is excellent and the portion sizes are a good size.
I am not going to rule out trying yuns in the future, but for sure we will not try it anytime soon. I am hoping the quality and less breading, etc. changes back to the way...
Read moreThis place used to be really good before the pandemic. We have eaten here for years and have never had bad food but the last couple times have been subpar. Today though and which finally prompted me to write a review the food was absolutely TERRIBLE!! My son's both got orange chicken which tasted nothing like orange chicken they both described it tasting like generals and I agree. Both complained the chicken was soggy and cold. I ordered chicken pad Thai and it was beyond NASTY!! No other way to describe it! First it was dry and there was no sauce flavor it just tasted like old oil and the bean sprouts tasted like dirt so they probably didn't wash them. But what was most off putting is that it was this bright orange color!! Pad Thai is my go to and I've eaten it probably 20 different places and I've never had orange pad Thai!! 2 bites that's all I had and within 10 minutes I had the worst heartburn and I don't get heartburn but maybe once or twice a year! The portions are huge unnecessarily so and I know I'd rather have less food with more care in making it. I think they actually just stopped caring! Never again that pad Thai...
