Original Tommy's — Restaurant in Westminster

Another of my favorite West Coast Hamburger joints. These are the original "gold standard" when it comes to chili burgers. The pickles and tomato are thick cut and the flavor comes through the big chili and mustard bite. Order extra tomato and/or pickles to lessen impact of chili and add more bite to flavor profile.

Chili Cheese fries are filling and delicious. This place can be greasy, but is an awesome experience for those without delicate appetites. If you can get to the very first Tommy's on Wilshire in L.A. the experience adds to the flavor. No dining room, Order at window and eat standing up counter that wraps around exterior of building. Paper towel dispensers every few feet and you will likely need a few.

There are three "Fast" food, best in class, cravable burger chains that I always try to go to in California. They are very different and unique in flavor and set themselves apart with their fresh ingredients from chains like McDonald's, Burger King and Carl's. If you go to California you should look for and try: Original Tommy's (make sure it has the shack logo, else it is a poor knockoff). Best Chili Burger hands down. Tomato and Pickles carry through nicely. In n Out, fresh flavor, thousand island sauce, onions raw or grilled with other toppings on nice spongy bun. Has not so secret menu available online that variations to their simple in store menu. Five Guys growing, all across the U.S. now, originally come from East Coast. Known for fresh, great flavor. Worst Breakfast burrito I have ever had the misfortune of eating, the window attendant was rude when we ordered. They most definitely are known for their chili, it sucks balls, horsemeat, grease and too much chili powder, It left me sick to my stomach, lethargic, I can hardly hold my head up, so bloated and acid reflux going on, the coffee there is horrible as well, the combination of the two made this place forever a place I will avoid eating at for the rest of my life! Laughable and has to be a joke, how can anyone screw up a breakfast burrito, and it looked like they put their nasty chili into half of the items on their menu, I feel like a moron for not stopping at the first bite and demanding my money back. Tommy's is literally a fast food disaster wiener schnitzel chili is better, and that's not saying and much, but at least shniztel chili doesnt make feel sick and yucky after...

Tommy's Hamburgers a Iconic Southern CA Chili Burger restaurant that is exactly the same one location to another Terrific. While Tommy's isn't my choice when looking for healthy food it's definitely on the top of my list when taste is. The Chili same as when Tommy opened his first location on Beverly and Rampart in Los Angeles over 70 + years ago never cutting there tomatoes thin when Tomatoes went sky high prices or sacrificing anything to cut corners. Family owned still and I worked with both Tommy Koulax and his son's years ago and am Happy to see they haven't changed a thing as I'm sure Tommy would be if he was still here.
