We had gone down to spend a small weekend trip at stonewall resort. It’s one of our favorite places to go. I do have a service dog (yes a real one, not one people say is a service dog just to bring around. She was trained professionally and is a very well mannered dog), which comes everywhere with me as to alert me before I have a seizure. Imagine my surprise when we made a reservation, arrive, and I’m told no dogs (even service dogs) are allowed. I tried explaining that she isn’t just a pet, but was quickly shut down and told we could sit outside or find elsewhere to eat. It was in the 60’s with wind blowing. Being there isn’t many other places to go, we chose to sit outside with her. It was a horrible experience, and I’m unsure if the restaurant understands that it is quite literally against the law to deny me service because of my service dog. If she causing a disturbance, it would have been a different story and I would’ve understood not being welcome, but she is a trained service dog. She lays beneath my seat or to the side of me if under is not an option, and does not bother any guest or employees. We will never be going back and actually considered contacting our lawyer because I felt humiliated sitting outside on such a cold day while being watched solely because I required a medical alert service dog. (Our waitress was even apologizing for it, and for how cold it...
Read moreNext level service, food and ambiance. I will keep this short although I could go on and on about how much my wife and I enjoyed our late lunch here. Greeted and seated by Paul, who also served us, very much to our delight. The man knows his job and does it well. Fantastic recommendations and genuine hospitality. Then the food….so amazing. At 54, I rarely clean my plate but I could not get enough. Everything was so perfectly paired and balanced. And then we had the pleasure of meeting Chef Liza. Like Paul, she knows her job and is darn good at it! It was very apparent they also enjoy their work. I love to cook and am often a bit disappointed when I go out for a meal. But not here, I wish I lived closer, I would eat...
Read moreThis place blew me away. It really did. I sat outside even though it was misting a little because it was so darn beautiful. I was going to get a burger when my server alerted me to the Asian pulled pork. I had noticed it and went with her suggestion. So glad I did. This might have been the most unique sandwich I have ever had. Loaded Korean Pulled Pork..... toasted pretzel bun / pulled pork / dill havarti / asian crunch slaw / kinohi / fried pork skins. It's a lot but it works. I went with the frips (their homemade chips that come with french onion dip! Had a Big Timber amber. Enjoyed my lunch immensely. What a...
