This place is never consistent. They are always out of something. Blizzards are always basically soup by the time they hand them through the drive thru. Went inside tonight, ordered 5 blizzards 4 were good and 1 was basically soup. Now apparently they dont do anything for birthdays unlike any dairy queen I have ever visited. When I began to question this the girl at the counter just turned and walked away, leaving a new employee standing there not knowing what to do. 2 and 6 months ago someone in my family received a free blizzard for their birthday at this exact location. Myself and others have complained to corporate before. Things improved a little, but now are right back to the way they were. Tables were not properly wiped down. Took 2 people to swipe my card on a tablet. There was food and straw wrappers on the floor. My wife went into the store earlier in the day to purchase a blizzard ice cream cake for my son's birthday. The case was empty, when she asked if they had any she was told no. She asked if they can make one or if they might get any in the next day. The employee looked at her and just said I don't know, and walked away from her. My wife waited a few minutes thinking the employee went to ask the manager. However after 5 minutes the employee returned to the front and went to the drive thru, completely...
Read moreThe floor was dirty with spilled food and napkins behind the counter in the food prep area. Two of the employees were wearing filthy clothes. Not dirty from greasy food at Dairy Queen, but dirty with dirt, like he just got off the floor at a mechanic's garage or went dirt biking through the mud and wore the same pants to prepare food. Then, after trying to swipe my debit card at two card readers at two different cash registers, another person typed my debit card number into a cell phone square program. Why would a reputable establishment have two separate credit card systems?? If the register system regularly doesn't work fix it. Don't type my bank card into a cell phone. There were hand written signs scotch taped on the door that they were out of strawberries and another that they needed $5s and $10s. This was not my first experience like this. Nothing about this experience makes me want to ever go back. Has the health inspector been there? I can't believe anything about that place is sanitary or would pass...
Read moreWe were traveling across Indiana, and didn't realize that there was an hour time difference. We pulled into the lot of the DQ at 10:30, a.m. which is when the drive-thru opens. I knowingly we walked to the door and found it locked. We proceeded back to the car and halfway to the car a very charming young lady open the door and motioned us to come in. I believe she was either the manager or the owner. A very nice lady. Initially they didn't think the grill was hot enough to cook burgers but, within seconds she said it is and took our orders. We sat down to play with our phones, and a few minutes later she delivered the hamburgers and fries and drinks to our table. It was one of the most enjoyable lunches we've had, especially since somebody went to the trouble with opening the dining area on a day where it was close to a hundred and it was comfortably air conditioned. Kudos to the lady that served us and to whomever manages the place if it's not her. She's amazing. And greatly...
