After nearly 20 years since my last Sonic visit, Sonic Westwego has reminded me why this classic fast-food chain remains a favorite. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this location prioritizes impeccable service and high-quality food, elevating what could have been a simple meal into a truly memorable dining experience.

Our server, Michelle (apologies if I didn’t pronounce your name correctly), was an absolute standout. Due to a minor issue with the speaker system, she personally came out to take our order. When we asked if she wanted something to write it down, she confidently replied, “No, I’ll remember it!” Her warm, professional demeanor and friendly chatter instantly made us feel welcome, turning a small hiccup into a charming interaction.

For dinner, I ordered the Triple Smash Burger with Chili Cheese Fries, my mom enjoyed the Garlic Butter Burger, and my dad chose a Foot-Long Hot Dog. Each item arrived faster than expected, perfectly hot and fresh. Normally have no issue here but yesterday they annoyed me. They claimed they were short staffed (which I can believe) but they I only know that b/c they informed another customer after we were looked over and not acknowledged at a drive thru window. Still without acknowledgement and a long wait the lady comes out and fully serves the vehicle behind us still not ever speaking to us. We were there a few minutes before that car. They weren't even friendly when they did finally come to the window. I was just so glad to finally get my food I didn't complain but when we pulled off all of my tater tots were cold. This Sonic usually has been the best. My favorite location, polite staff, food always on point but this last time my boyfriend and I went, it was terrible. Server had trouble hearing him place his order. He had to repeat at least a couple of times. Someone else came to the intercom and finally got our order. (more than once said no onions in the extreme tots to both of them) We got home and yep... there were the onions. It didn't really bother us but we started to notice the the food didn't taste that great.. It's like it had been reheated or something so we took a couple bites and just threw it away.
