I’d like to preface this review by stating that I chose to give a 4-Star rating based on the service. I would’ve given a 5-Star review otherwise. I had a 9:45pm reservation. Mind you, this was the only reservation time available 13 days prior to the dine date. My friend & I arrived 45 minutes early & informed the hostess of this. She was very nice, as she offered to have us get a drink from the bar while we waited. The bar was PACKED with people. Nowhere to sit or wait. We stood behind a booth of a party who was eating. After 30 minutes, two seats at the bar opened up & we sat until the table was ready. We began to notice that people who came in after us were being seated before us, but we assumed that they had reservations. Until we noticed that it was 9:45pm, there were open tables, & we still hadn’t been seated. I went back to the hostess & reminded her that we were waiting, & we were sat. This gave the impression that we were forgotten about.. When we were seated, the server came over. She was nice; however, throughout the entire meal (start to finish), it was evident that she was rushing us. Within 5 minutes of us being seated, we had to decide on our meals as the kitchen was going to close in a “couple minutes”. She brought bread over & we had to ask for silverware, plates & napkins. Halfway through the meal, she placed to-go boxes on the table (that we didn’t request or need). We still weren’t done eating dinner when she asked if we wanted dessert. It was extremely uncomfortable to feel so rushed to dine. Perhaps the restaurant shouldn’t offer late reservations if the kitchen closes soon after & the wait staff feels the need to get guests out by closing time. Everything else (food/atmosphere) was amazing. I got the Filet Mignon w/ mashed potatoes & zucchini. So flavorful. Melt in your mouth steak! The Christmas decorations...
Read moreI waited about a month to post this because I wasn’t sure if I should, I don’t know if anyone from the restaurant reads reviews. My husband and I went for dinner on Jan 11, to celebrate our anniversary. We drove one hour and decided to go to this particular restaurant because of the Christmas ornament display. I had no issues with the food or the drink or the young waiter. My problem was that upon entering said restaurant there was a puddle on the floor (which no one noticed, not me or my husband or staff) we waited at the check in desk for a minute and then someone came to seat us and I ended up walking right on that puddle and slipped and fell down. The hostess was nice and helped me up but my husband made a point to go back to where I fell and showed them that it was very wet (from the snow) and that they should clean it up so no one else falls. We had dinner, we spent 200+, and left a nice tip to the young waiter because he was very good at his job. But the morning after I woke up to see that my toe was all black and broken. It is still broken now a month later. What’s bothering me is that there was an accident in their restaurant that was not our fault and they didn’t offer to comp some of our bill or give free dessert, they also did not put up a wet floor sign after I fell which I thought was poor judgment. Do I expect to get anything out of this post? No not at all. I just want them to know it’s important especially in snow season to be mindful with wiping the floors and putting up signs so people can be warned about the wet floor so not only to prevent customers like myself from injuring themselves but also to keep the staff safe. I am still in pain and do not plan to return to the restaurant from...
