I had a family party at sons of Italy Quincy. Imagine my surprise when I received a call AT MY JOB from a John at the sons of Italy Weymouth ACCUSING me of dumping trash at their property. John also told my call center rep that he was calling to talk to me about the trash I dumped! When I answered and spoke to John he asked if that was my trash he had and I responded that was likely considering I had just been at a party at the sons of Italy. He then said if that’s the case then we can forget this conversation. I said sure and I’ll be sure not to use sons of Italy again either to which he responded “go to hell” I called Quincy sons of Italy and they said no one there called me and no one there would ever make a call like that. I gave her the number and name of who called my job and she said she would follow up with them and then myself to provide an update. I want to know: How this John character got trash from the Quincy sons of Italy Why this John character thinks it is OK to research someone, call their job, and accuse them of dumping trash when you have hundreds of people at the properties for parties with cakes, decorations , and food all of which likely have someone’s name on them?? Absolutely shocking, disappointing, frustrating, and very upsetting. I would use the Quincy location again but will make sure to tell everyone I know not to give the Weymouth location any business. God forbid you PAY money to rent their hall and throw away trash there because then you’ll be...
Read moreThis establishment is over 100 years old; it's an Italian American social club, which provides a ton of nonprofit work to benefit the community, and it's a banquet hall (somewhere to rent and host functions). The social club offers scholarships for recent high school graduates, and they regularly conduct food drives, clothing drives, etc.. This place is very old school; it's rich in tradition and values, both of which are extremely rare nowadays! Most important, there are two parts/venues to/at this establishment: a Members Lounge and a Banquet Hall. Members' Lodge: It's mostly men, very few women; there's no drama, it's very fun/social, and drinks are cheap. Members can invite guests, and they can use the TVs, Xbox, pool tables, shuffle board, ping pong table, putting green, bocce court, horseshoe pit, etc.. Banquet Hall: It's very nicely done, in a very old school/traditional fashion. The venue is very affordable, comparable to other venues, and the staff is great. Drinks are also very cheap, and they offer a plethora of beer, spirits, etc. The staff won't cook for anyone, including members, but they do allow you to use their kitchen should you need to heat food for your guests. Would I recommend the Weymouth Son's of Italy? Yes, absolutely, but you need to realize there are, essentially, two venues at this address, the members lounge and the banquet hall. Either way, you won't find a better time or a cheaper...
