We’re very upset with what happened today. First we get approached because we had our own bottle of Water. The Daughter, “Waitress” sends her Father, “The Owner” over to tell us if it was Alcohol, it would be fine. But Not Water. I bring a bottle of water Everywhere I go. Never got questioned about it before. I’m older and have Health Problems. I Don’t drink Soda or Juice just water. So that’s how we start off. Next The Food comes after waiting 25 Minutes. I ordered a Burger MEDIUM. I worked “All My Life” in The Best Food Establishments. So I Knew My Burger was Well Over Cooked, and the Cheese wasn’t even Melted on it. I Sent It Back. Waiting another 10 minutes, watching “The Owners” Siting with a couple eating their lunch. While I’m still waiting for mine. My husband finished his food by now. Waitress NEVER CAME BACK TO ASK US IF EVERYTHING IS OK ? I had to get up to get my to Go Container. So of Course, NO TIP ! Like I said, I waitressed in Many Up Scale Restaurants and We Received No Good Service. We put a TO GO Order In also. The Daughter started to Ring Us Up. I noticed she added a .75 charge for Ranch On The Side. We didn’t want Mayo, We wanted RANCH. When the Waitress took the order, She should have said, Would you like Ranch instead of Mayo ? But didn’t Give Us The Choice. Just tacked on A Charge to make up for us bringing in Our Own Water Bottles. I said to The Father, “The Owner” that Within the Past Month, I’ve Giving you Over $30.00 to $40.00 worth of business a week. They didn’t Apologize for The Wait for food, The Over Cooked Food or Hided Extra Charges on our bill. For a Family Owned & Operated business it seems they only cater to who they want to. Didn’t Feel Welcome from The Start. We’re Not going back and I’m sure your establishment...
Read moreWe were famished after a hike so we pulled into the first decently reviewed place we came to, and almost turned back around when we saw the outside, but I'm so glad we didn't! This place is in a strip mall and the menu posted in the window was small and kind of random, but since we were starving we went in anyway. The inside was totally different than what I expected. This is a cute little family owned place with just a few tables, very causal, but also very clean and welcoming. Exactly what you'd hope for in an authentic Italian mom and pop stop.
Turns out menu outside was just the specials, the full menu is HUGE! They have everything from upscale pasta dishes to sandwiches. I think even the biggest or pickiest groups would find something worth loving here. I was overwhelmed by all the choices, but our server was incredibly helpful. She made several great suggestions, and told us details about preparation and serving sizes. We ended up ordering a rice ball and a series sandwich (like a chicken parm but in a lighter sauce), both of which were massive and even with two people we barely finished them. Both items were delicious, the bread seemed fresh, all warm and crusty, while the rice ball was perfectly seasoned and flavorful.
I can't imagine another time we'll be lost and hungry in this part of the world, but I pinned this little gem of a restaurant on my map, so that if I'm passing through again I will remember...
Read moreI don't think I've ever reviewed a restaurant before but La Forcheta is one of the few restaurants in business today that really deserve recognition. I had my husband's surprise birthday party there and everything was absolutely perfect. The owners were super sweet and accommodating and the food...amazing! We had calamari and bruschetta as appetizers - the calamari was tender and delicious and the bruschetta was unbelievable. I honestly never had better in my life. We had a choice for entrées between chicken francaise, chicken parm or shrimp scampi and every single person was thrilled with their choice. It's so rare nowadays to get such quality food. Not only is the food at La Forcheta delicious, from what I can tell it's mostly made from scratch like all food should be in my opinion. I could go on and on but bottom line is if you're looking for an excellent restaurant for a casual dinner or a place to host a your next get together, I strongly suggest you give La Forcheta a try. You won't be...
