Read moreToday, four of us had the pleasure of dining at Norte 175 in Wharton, NJ, and overall, it was a very positive experience. While there were some small hiccups expected from a newer establishment, the food and service left us eager to return.
Starting with appetizers, the Steak & Chimichurri Tostones stood out as a highlight—delicious and bursting with flavor. The Cheese Quesadillas were grilled to perfection and arrived hot, making for a comforting and satisfying bite. The Grilled Octopus was another winner in terms of taste, though we did feel the portion size was a bit small considering the price.
For our main courses, we sampled the Fish Tacos, Steak Tacos, Grilled Skirt Steak, and the Wharton Burger. Each dish was tasty, well-prepared, and attractively plated. Portion sizes felt appropriate for the pricing, and the flavors hit the mark across the board. The wine selection offered by the glass was varied enough to suit different palates and came at a reasonable cost.
Our server, Ana, was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. While it was evident she was still becoming familiar with the menu and the specifics of each dish, her effort and enthusiasm were appreciated.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, and the service team worked hard to ensure a pleasant dining experience. One small critique: the valet parking felt unnecessary. The lot is quite spacious, and parking just a few steps away seemed manageable without the added formality.
Despite minor growing pains, Norte 175 shows great promise. With flavorful dishes, reasonable prices, and a welcoming ambiance, it’s a strong addition to the local dining scene. We’re looking forward to seeing how this restaurant evolves as it settles into...
Read moreCame in and waited 20 minutes before someone came and gave us water and then waited 5 extra minutes for our server. Young man was amazing and very professional. 2 servers passed by us and did not mind us. This was our first time at the restaurant. About 30 mins into our dinner a group of people walked in waiting to be seated, one couple sat in our section and immediately the same guy that walked passed us twice ran to the couple dabbed the man and serviced them. In less than 10 minutes the couple got there meal , wine glasses , wine and other drinks. My partner and I looked at each other just so shocked and confused. She and I could not understand why all of a sudden change up.
Looked over to the right the bar tender was chugging down shots at the bar and loud.
Our server was a fantastic! The young man was so professional and took the time to greet and speak to us and not just bring our food and leave. He checked up on us from time to time and made sure we were okay.
Also what is a convince fee of $3.93?Then come to find out they charge that because we were there. So I'm so confused, was it an inconvenience for people to come spend spend over $150 just for you to slap a convince fee on their bill ?
Also drinks that are shown on the website when scanned barcode doesn't look no where near what was shown on the website. Asked for another drink, which was a piña colada. To then be told that the machine wasn't working and had to just order a...
