This place was great when it was Bucky’s. I figured the switch to Casey’s was just a name change. I couldn’t be more wrong. Equipment is constantly broken down, especially the car wash. Despite the car was being broken regularly, they still advertise it all throughout the store and prompt you if you want a car wash when you fill up. It’s not until you get to the car wash that you see signs it’s broken and to go inside for refunds. Hey, that’s fine, machinery needs maintenance, I’ll just get a refund like the sign says and move on with my day. Nope, the cashier informs you she can’t give you a refund, and it’s the customer’s fault that they keep breaking the car wash. Rather than just refunding my $10, she told me I need to come back when the manager is in because she doesn’t want me abusing the system and getting 10 cents off gas (a total of 80 cents in my case). She also wouldn’t tell me when the manager will be in and that I just had to be lucky and come in when he does.
Overall just a really poor experience. There are several Casey’s in the area, and I will never again step foot in one. All because they wouldn’t refund a car wash for me, despite it being...
Read moreGoing with Lamar and his assessment. Been in retail for 33 years and honestly, I've never seen a decline in a business like I've witnessed here. I HAVE stopped going there as most of the morning and lunch crowd has. It took a couple months to teach the community that they absolutely lack any consistant cleanling routine. About half of the equipment is empty or broken, but why even touch a drink from a fountain or otherwise when it's this unkept, non-stocked... its obviously a broken store.
33 years of management will give me a conclusion of.. this is from top-down. They aren't treating the employees right and in turn they don't care. And it shows. It shows in the store itself and the unhappy mood and atmosphere. This is how you run a business that comes with basic expectations, into the ground. Fast. The amount of turnover says it all. People don't quit a company.. they quit on people. And it's an opinion and a guess but comes with STRONG experience. This is all from...
Read moreAbout 6 months ago this place was AWESOME. Always clean. Every soda and coffee machine working, always stocked and full of supplies. Most importantly the employees greeted you, were friendly, and the atmosphere in general was positive.
In recent months this place has gone from the best to one of the worst. Dirty, boxes everywhere, 1/3 of soda fountain drinks don't work and are never fixed. Half the flavored coffee machines don't work and basic supplies are hard to find.
The employees all seem like they hate their job and often are clearly in a bad mood. One poor lady this morning snapped at me assuming I was rushing her when I was actually trying to tell her to take her time because I wasn't in a hurry.
I've worked nearly 2 decades in retail and rarely have I seen such a drastic and dramatic downturn of a retail location. It's a shame and I fear it won't be long until I stop going here...
