Danada Deli & Pantry — Restaurant in Wheaton

I absolutely love to come here and have never been disappointed. They truly care about the quality of their food and they are always so respectful and kind. This place is PERFECT for delicious homemade meals- you won't fully understand until you taste. My boyfriend showed me this place when it was at its previous location and I have been addicted ever since. I was afraid they closed but I am thrilled to say that their new location is even closer to my house. Anyway, tonight I stopped by on a whim and walked in just 5 minutes before they were going to close for the night. They welcomed me and we had a really nice conversation, they didn't rush me at all. I asked what they recommended and i was told to try the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy, so I got some for me and my boyfriend along with a large cup of their amazing chicken noodle soup. The meatloaf is FANTASTIC! i don't even normally care for meatloaf, but i trust them when it comes to food so I thought I would try it, and boy am I glad i did. Thank you Danada Deli for always providing me with top notch food, and also for treating me like a friend every time I do come in. I love having you in the neighborhood! RE:Update: I was looking for a great deli near me, I called and they had moved it to Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton, IL from Danada Square in Rice Lake... I can walk / ride my bike there now! Family run, Dad is the Chef & Food Artist / & Artieste (yes, it's that good people) the family's so very friendly & helpful, keeping it nice, clean, bright & inviting! HOMEMADE FOOD DAILY! Specials, soups, & they slso have homemade desserts... Each day you can check** by clicking on their website 9-10am to see what they are... It's so very helpful & convenient, I really like it... The family take pride in all they do & it reflects in their store, food & service, it really really shows! Love ALL their food & desserts (brownies)! - it's SO very very yummy! There's tables to dine in / or can take it to go... Got their corned beef, tuna, egg, & chicken salad sammies, the Mititei/Cevapi sausage too, (all very good) homemade Hungarian sausage coil, which they make in house also! Mmm They're Da Real Deal! Other favorites, Ital. beef, stuffed cabbage, goulash, Swedish meatballs, St. Pat's corned beef & cabbage ooh! Tried chicken & artichoke special today - in a food coma! They're simply amazing! Wow!... Don't sleep on Danada Deli! The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Clean inside and friendly atmosphere.

Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were very well balanced. You can definitely tell how much pride they take in their food.

The Italian Beef was one of the best I've had. It was juicy, but the bread held together well, and yet, it wasn't tough, or chewy bread either. It was great.

The Apple Tart was one of the most delicious pastries I've ever eaten. Another shining example of their mastery of balancing flavors. Do not be intimidated, it's not anywhere near as "rich" as it appears. It's sweet, for sure, but not too sweet. I finished it and felt like I wanted 3 more, instead of struggling to finish 1 due to something being too rich or sweet.

All around a great experience and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend checking...
