Mom and pop old school Italian. I think this is one of those places that you have to explore the menu a bit and find out what they really do well. The chicken and veal dishes are a bit formulaic and the different variations are all quite similar with a basic garlic and wine sauce. I thought that the chicken vesuvio was sorely lacking potatoes and the chicken was not on the bone which I definitely prefer. Our diners ordered two different chicken dishes and they were very similar with chicken cutlets and a lot of sauce on the plate. The linguini with fresh clams was great. However, another diner ordered a different seafood pasta and they were very similar. I really like the vibe of the place and it's very clear that the owners are very involved and will be out front talking to the customers. You can tell there are a lot of repeat customers. I would like to go back and explore more of the menu. Definitely casual and pricing was reasonable. I thought the pricing on wine was very reasonable and it's always nice when it's not so overpriced that you cannot order with a meal. One big minus was the red sauce on the side of pasta which had a very tomato soup vibe. Definitely not my cup of tea and I'm glad that I did not order something...
Read moreThis place would have received 5 stars if it had not been for the service. Not to say that it was terrible, but it was extremely slow. It took almost 15 minutes for us to get the check. Granted, she was the only one there but still, very, very slow service.
I've been to a few Italian restaurants in the past few months, but this place is hands down the best. It's a small, quaint restaurant with a colorful interior that offers indoor and outdoor seating.
This restaurant impresses from the very first thing they serve, the bread. It has been a very, very long time since I was served bread with such a delicate, yet powerful aroma and that was so soft and fluffy. I didn't have to struggle tearing the bread apart while looking like a civilized human being. Rather, with just a tug the bread tore cleanly and without a hassle.
The soup I had was flavorful without being overbearing. As for the main dish, it was great! The sauce was light, but had a deep flavor that blended perfectly with the other ingredients. They not only managed to balance the different flavors on the plate, but they also gave each ingredient a moment to shine and show off their unique taste.

Read moreWe've been here about a dozen or so times but our visit last week was the first one in a few years. We got there around 5:20 and the lady at the front was like well I have to see if we can get you in, we have a lot of reservations for later. The finally "found" us a table in the mostly empty restaurant. Service was slow to say the least. The food though is where it really went down hill. My wife had the lobster ravioli which was 4 ravioli on the dish with a miniscule amount of lobster in them which is a poor deal for $18. I had the rigatoni with vodka sauce and it was a bit lacking on noodles, and the vodka sauce was not like a typical vodka sauce, probably the worst I've ever had. My kids split a spaghetti with marinara sauce. Honestly looking at the three dishes we had all the sauces looked the same. The restaurant was full of older couples and we were the only family there and they did offer any kind of kids menu so it's not a very family friendly restaurant. For the price there are other better Italian restaurants in the area that I could spend less money at and get...
