Mugs Pizza and Ribs — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

Theres a clear difference between "It's tough running a business" and running a terrible business. Each and every time you call this Des Plaines location it feels like they're doing you a favor by talking to you. Rude every single time, rush you through your order and talk to you as if you're stupid.

Had an issue with our pizza delivered several weeks back, it arrived 1.5 hrs after ordering and looked as if it had been through a war. Called in minutes later, placed on hold for 12 minutes while our story was being "checked out". Rude lady returns on the phone, says "I can give you a $5 credit towards next time", so we ask what about the $31 we just paid and the ruined pizza. She says she can have it redelivered but its going to take another hour. Not sure who in their right mind would want to wait 3 hours for a proper pizza to be delivered. We told her we wanted to talk to the manager, she claimed she was. So we asked for someone above her, she said it was the owner and he was sleeping. Said she'd call him anyway, well she pretended to at least. She ended up sending the delivery driver back to our house to pick up the pizza to actually make sure it was messed up and then refunded our money. Who the heck does that?! Very bad customer service. When I call to order a pizza the girl who answered the phone was rushing me to order . Once i arrived I had a coupon for 15% off that must off fell out of my pocket and when I got to the counter I couldn't find it for over 3 minutes, so the cashier look at me as if I was begging her for money somewhere in the South side of Chicago under a bridge when I ask her if the could honored since I lost it somewhere , so I finally told her I'm going to look on my car and see if I can find it. Well I took me 5 minutes but I did found the "" DAMM"" coupon. It was $20 plus dollars and some change, so when I was looking for the coins she roll her eyes at me and told me don't worry about it. I reply to her : Nooo hold on one second and gave her the coins . It's funny how I only went there because they send me a coupon, and want them to try them out. My boyfriend and I have been coming to this place for so long and their pizza is our favorite. Last time I ordered, I placed an order for pick up. I went to pick up the pizza with no problems. As I was CAREFULLY driving home, (because I have a hot pizza in my car) the SIDE of the box that is supposed to be secured, busted open and the pizza spilled all over my car. I pulled over in the pouring rain to pick up the ENTIRE pizza (with extra cheese btw) off the floor of my car, burning my hand in the process. When I returned home flustered, with a messy car and no pizza, I called to complain. I spoke with the manager and IMMEDIATELY received an attitude. I explained the situation to him and tried to see if there was a way for this to be resolved but his response was “I love talking to people like you, this is not our fault”. I wouldn’t have been as upset if customer service was handled differently but this was blatant disrespect to customers who have to loyal to Mug’s for years.
