My daughter and I came here on a Sunday night (5/18). I typically go to another location but we were in the area, so I figured why not. Unfortunately, I didn't look at other reviews beforehand. This experience is the worst I've ever had by far at any DQ.
We came around 6:30pm and decided to walk in and order. I believe all the staff were high schoolers. First off, we walked in and noticed how foul-smelling the place was. Next, while my daughter and I were looking at the menu, 2 teenage girls came in and I assume they were friends of the people working. They were laughing and yelling their order to the employees, didn't even pay, and kept yelling at them to make their order right. I didn't care so much about them not paying or yelling while they were at the window but it got worse later on. Once I walked up to the window, the staff completely ignored me. I stood there for around 10 minutes and multiple employees walked past me again and again. While I was being ignored, one of the teen girls continued to yell at them while I was standing right there at the order window. Then the same girl did something that really ticked me off. She walked right up to me and slid her phone under their order window and started filming her friends while still laughing and yelling at them. This went on for a good minute at least. Not long after, another group of people walked in and I gave up on trying to order at the window. I thought maybe ordering drive thru would be faster so I took my daughter and I out of the shop and drove into the drive thru.
Unfortunately, this was not a good experience either. We got to the order stand and they told me to wait. I waited for at least another 5 minutes for anyone who would take my order but to no avail. I will say, I can understand the delay in taking an order if you're busy. But they weren't. The 2 teens and my daughter and I were the only individuals inside the store. When we went to the drive thru, there was only one car ahead of us.
What's even more frustrating is that the group of people who had walked in right before we left to try the drive thru - they walked out with cones in their hands before we could even order. While I had been waiting inside the shop for 10 minutes and then waiting for another 5 minutes in the drive thru, this other group had been able to order and walk out within the span of less than 5 minutes.
I was so frustrated by the whole situation. So much disappointment in the staff working that night because it wasn't busy, yet we were completely ignored. My daughter was so sad she couldn't get her shake that night. This location needs some...
Read moreWe will NEVER return to this DQ. We pulled up to the window, no one else in sight, but yet it seemed to take forever to give our order. When we tried to order we could hear the two girls laughing and talking in the back ground. They were clearly not listening to us when trying to order as we had to repeat our order multiple times despite going slow when speaking. Once we pulled up to the window we had to wait 5 more minutes for someone to come take our card, once we paid we then waited 5 more minutes for a girl to come to the window without our order, telling us she cannot make us the new fall blizzard, as she didn’t know how to, even though that is her one and only job. On top of that, She was dressed inappropriately for an employee. She was dressed more for a high school party than a professional job. We had to tell her our order once again, while we can hear her friend working in the back laughing. They then proceeded to not give us our card back and we had to ask for it. After all that, they forgot our pup cup, and gave us 5 blizzards that we had to ask for a drink carrier as who can hold 5 blizzards by themself? Probably spent 20 minutes in this drive thru even though we were the only ones there. Bad experience overall and will only go to the DQ in Mathomedi from now on, as their employees actually know how to make a blizzard, and in a...
Read moreWhat an awful place. I would give zero stars if I could. Mismanaged and run by a bunch of inexperienced 16-year olds. We waited for 15 minutes in the drive thru on a Monday night. Ordered 2 small snickers blizzards. When they finally came out, it was soupy vanilla ice cream. I said, “I’m sorry to be a bother, but we ordered Snickers blizzards.” The girl said, “Yeah, those are it. I just didn’t mix them very well. There’s Snickers in there though, I promise,” then shut the window. I stirred each cup and didn’t find a single piece of candy and the ice cream was as melted as a malt. I knocked on the window politely told her that they needed to be remade. She rolled her eyes, took them back and said she’d “be right back”. We watched her through the window - she had just handled cash, but didn’t bother washing her hands or putting gloves on. She sprinkled some snickers bits on the top of the same cups, gave it a little stir and brought them back out to us dripping and spilling out into my car. I said, “my god, this is a mess! Do you have napkins?” She said, “NOPE!” and slammed the window on me.
My little boy bit into something that was super hard and sour, hurting his tooth. We ended up throwing them out. I just wanted to take my little guy out for a special treat. So disappointed in this experience - we will...
