We were traveling from out of state visiting family in the Towson area and picked this restaurant for takeout on 8/30 (Saturday Night). Our order included Garlic Chicken Tikka, Chicken Karahi, Lamb Biriyani, Bhindi Masala, Onion Kulchas and Garlic Naan.

I am really confused about the great reviews this place has. The food that we ordered was mediocre at best with the exception of Garlic Chicken Tikka and Bhindi Masala which I would say were decent. Onion Kulchas and Garlic Naan were good as well.

Chicken Karahi was tasteles and it seemed like boiled chicken from a few days ago was tossed in some masala. Chicken Karahi is a basic Indian dish, so not sure how anyone can mess this up even if they tried to. I request the Chef to view some youtube videos for Chicken Karahi recipes and watch how this dish is made.

Lamb Biriyani was the worst I have had at any Indian restaurant. There was absolutely no flavor, spice or anything in this dish that would classify it as a biriyani. The lamb meat tasted stale and the dish was not edible. Must have used left over lamb meat from over a month ago, tossed it into some cooked rice and called it lamb biriyani. Please take this dish off the menu, people might stop eating lamb biriyani if you keep serving this terrible stuff.

We spent $100+ on this takeout order for a family celebration and needless to say we were disappointed. I am not sure what's up with all the great reviews of food served at this place. It is also possible that the Chef had an off day or took the day off on that day and we were out of luck.

If you are going to charge $23 per dish, please make sure that your quality is upto the mark and Customers are getting value for what they pay, these are not inexpensive dishes. Please do not serve mediocre food at high prices, your Customers that support you deserve better.

Would definitely not recommend this place for Indian food, Nepali food or whatever food...

I’m here traveling solo, although I lived here a long while back. I’ve answered the calling for crab cakes (twice), and Indian cuisine is always a good choice. I searched a bit and thought this place was my best option.

I was met at the front door and taken to a seat of my preference. They quickly brought me a plate of papadum that were crispy and not oily. With a side of chutneys that were obviously made in house.

I ordered vegetable pakora saag paneer chicken korma garlic naan and a side of raita

The pakora came out first, and they were hot and crispy. They were super flavorful and the vegetables starred as the highlight of the dish.

Ok, I’ll speed this up: the naan was toasty on the outside and warm and fluffy inside. The korma was filled with large chunks of chicken in an airy cashew sauce. The saag was a deep rich green (as I prefer) and yet still quite creamy. And the paneer was the perfect texture that I’ve never been able to replicate at home. The raita was thick and creamy and a tiny bit sweet, the perfect counterbalance to the heat of the entrées. (I ordered medium so I wasn’t putting out a fire, but this raita could if it needed to)

I love Indian food. I’ve enjoyed it from London to LA. My family and I even cook it at home. Not every restaurant I’ve been to is a gem, but Bombay Nights definitely is. The staff is endearingly friendly, the food was meticulously prepared and garnished… and it was delicious.

If you’re ever near this place, please check it out. (There physical menu is awesome by the way, proof attached)

Folks, if you live near this place, also check it out… then you’ll see why I’d make it a regular spot.

maybe another day I will tell the story of 2 kind gentleman at a restaurant who introduced me to...

THE FOOD IS MUCH BELOW NORMAL INDIAN FOOD STANDARD!

DECOR: The interior is is not at all Indian. It looks like a Belly Dancing night club. Very middle-eastern decoration.

FOOD: We ordered CHICKEN BIRYANI, TANDOORI CHICKEN and NAAN. All the three items were tasteless. I have had much better Indian food at other restaurants in Baltimore. The chicken was not well marinated or cooked. The left-over tasted awful when I warmed it the next day morning. This clearly indicated that the meat was not fresh. The portions were enough for two people. The complementary salad that was served was stale. For each dessert item we asked, they replied, "we do not have it". That was pretty disappointing. Why do they even put that in the Menu, if they don't have it in their kitchen.

SERVICE: I went there on a Friday night and the restaurant had just 3 more couples. There is a Woman who welcomes you when you enter. She seemed pretty arrogant and unfriendly. Infact we had gone there earlier too, on a Saturday. But, we had to come back since there was some private party that was going on inside. The restaurant was completely booked for that.

PRICE: We spent around $ 45 (including tips). The food did not justify the price at all and I deeply regret for having gone there.

This place is often reserved for private Birthday Party's and on those days, they do not entertain regular walk-ins. PLEASE CALL IN AND CHECK BEFORE GOING TO BOMBAY NIGHTS! I am not going in...

We went here on a whim, but would come back intentionally. The place was very clean - a clear indicator is that they have carpet floors, but it was still clean. Coming in around 1pm set us at a golden time for the lunch buffet. Their selection isn't HUGE, but just right. I'm not sure if the rotation changes on a regular basis, but when we went, there were masala tea, dessert such as sweet dough balls and rice pudding, samosas, basmalti and lemon rice, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, goat curry, and more! The spices were more on the mild side, which I personally prefer. The plates, bowls, and culterly were also very clean. The staff were also incredibly attentive, clearing our plates when we were done, bringing us naan, and refilling our water. If you are looking for a place to try an assortment of Indian food - this is the place to go! Some additional notes: Parking is also easy as well. Although spices are used, the smell is more neutral.

An impromptu Google find took us here and we started off with ordering some Momos . The chicken Momo and the fried n sautéed momos were a real treat . Perfectly seasoned minced chicken filling which is a must in momos and the wrap was light and moist . We ordered chilli chicken and lam Sukuti for appetizers. Chilli Chicken - Fried chicken tenders sautéed with veggies in chilly sauce. It tasted very good too. Lamb Sukuti - Disclaimer, I have limited idea about Nepali cuisine hence we had to try this. This is basically dried lamb tossed with veggies and mixed with Nepali spices. Since the lamb was dried the process I know needs lots of salt to preserve it. Hence the lamb is slightly on the saltier side but it was something unique. For entrées we order a Chicken Noodles and it is something you are better off not ordering here. I don’t have anything to write about it. Overall, amazing Momos, quality appetizers and average indo Chinese entree .
