Arroyo's Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in White Settlement

This is not our (myself & the missus) first time to this restaurant ... certainly will not be our last either! I forget the name of our server, but he's a young fellow, very polite, observant, and they can work with dietary needs as well, which is a good thing because we're both on low carb. The decor ... "very" Mexican flavour to it, with traditional music from a radio with a volume that's not too overpowering. The pricing is perfect, so if you're on a budget, whether you're retired (like we are), or if you have a sizeable family & you like good homemade Mexican food, do consider putting this on your restaurant "go to" list! I've never seen this place "slammed" with people, but from what I recall from previous visit, they make up a lot in pickup & take away orders. Anyway, I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for Mexican food, but you need something within a personal or family budget. It's well above "fast food", yet well below "expensive fine dining". It's in the middle which is a nice place to be, and they can work around your "low carb diet". Fajita meat here we come (lol)! Chile rellenos, tamales (were excellent), carne asada and chicken enchiladas were all very tasty. It felt like we were visiting family, staff was inviting and made us feel welcomed. This is a "Don't judge a book by it's cover" type of place. What it lacks in curb appeal it makes up in the quality of food and service. Support your local family owned businesses. Update: Still one of our go-to places. Junior always makes sure my picky husband gets what he wants. We were there only customer's in there so it was nice and quiet. We seem to be the last of the priorities of the staff. We physically seen 3 workers but was not checked on once food arrived. Then had to ask for silverware. We never got a check & my to go cup lid didn't fit. We waited and waited for last to get off phone at register for us to pay. After 5 min I interrupted her call and said we wanted to leave. She rang it up $61 & we gave $100. Her call continues. 2 min later she gets out her phone calculator to see what our change was.
