Hoss's Steak & Sea House — Restaurant in White Township

Hoss's ain't what it use to be ! The service was slow and lethargic. Our waitress was not attentive and was slow to refill drinks. She also forgot several sides that we ordered. The side was mushrooms and I suspected they were growing them out back. I ordered a T-bone steak, and wanted it prepared medium rare. That was impossible, as the steak was the size of a T-bone, but was a full half inch thick. Years ago, the steaks were thick, and always properly prepared. To taste, my steak was warm medium well and salty. Wow, what a bargain at $35.00. The bread bar offered cool seemingly stale bread, with an empty butter bowl. The dessert table was very unimpressive, and what use to be a vanilla, chocolate and mixed ice cream machine is now just vanilla, but you could add chocolate syrup. I suspect this formerly awesome restaurant has been hijacked by some nitwit corporate millennials, whose only focus is profit, and has destroyed the formerly great experience, and turned it into just a great memory of what once was. In short..........We will not return! The two stars are only there for the memories of a once great...

This is the best restaurant I've been to here in Indiana, and I've been to very many. I typically eat-in here about once/wk and have done so for years, and often get takeout as well at other times.

The food is very consistently EXCELLENT. Their cooks know what they are doing. I can't ever remember getting a poorly cooked order here. All of their food is delicious. Some of my favs include the Willie Burger w/fries, the Stuffed Chicken Breast dinner, and the Cleaver Cut Sirloin. They are amazing, every time.

Their servers are also excellent and very friendly. They are truly very good at their jobs.

The restaurant is large and has a great atmosphere. Parking, and seating, is NEVER a problem.

A restaurant never has routinely great service and consistently high quality food as this location does, without excellent management!! So I know that this Hoss's on Wayne Ave has outstanding management. Thank you for having such a great restaurant here...

I haven't been to Hoss's in YEARS! But I'm glad someone convinced me to go recently. The inside has been kept up-to-date more than I expected it to be. There's TONS of seating available. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Mac-n-Cheese & it tasted great - it was so cheesy & the bacon on top was crispy but thick. The salad bar had a nice variety, although in order to accomplish that, it seemed crowded; but I was ok with that. The Chicken Noodle Soup from the salad bar was perfect - there was actually tons of big chunks of quality chicken in it, & the noodles were perfectly aldente. I was a little sad that there was no longer the option for chocolate icecream at the machine, but there was a lot of toppings to put on the vanilla. I was a little surprised at how much it cost for me & my brother's meal, but I guess that comes with inflation. All in all, I will definitely return, (& before another 20...
