Recommended, everyone was real friendly! Out on the road with my better half and decided to try this place. We walked in around 1530 and were immediately greeted by a vampire and a kitten (it was Halloween). The kitten seated us promptly. Hector aka the vampire arrived at the table to welcome us. He took our drink order and later our food order, throughout the meal he checked with us a couple other times to ensure we were not left wanting. My beautiful bride of 30 years had an a la carte carnitas taco...I had a bite at her bidding, it was amazing. I quickly rushed to the kitchen and met the chef responsible for creating the wonderful dish, Ramon. I ordered the large nachos that has steak, chicken, and shrimp; as well as a large guacamole. The nachos were good but the chips quickly didn't hold up to the moisture. However, the flavors were outstanding, the meat was exceptionally seasoned. Read moreRudest restaurant I have ever been to ! If they mess your order up you can't get it replaced unless a manager is there , so you might be stuck waiting hours to get your order remade. They told me they would take my name down , and replace the order for a future date. I call them today and after talking to THREE different people , the lady tells me she can't do anything!?!?! Why not ?! I've already paid for my food, I just want the order that I paid for. The order I got was wrong and had cheese on it , I am lactose intolerant. We sat down planning to dine - In , we didn't get asked what drinks we wanted , no chips or salsa brought to us , waited forever to take out order and then brings it out in a to go bag. Usually when you sit down with your family at a restaurant it's to enjoy the experience to eat in. No I took ours home since it was obvious they didn't want us there. Read moreWow!! Was I quite pleasantly surprised with this restaurant!! When you open the door you are treated to a beautiful atmosphere.. All the beautiful colors...But here is why you should not pass up El Abuelo.. The staff is so welcoming..all happy and very glad you are there.., Upon seating you will be brought some wonderful fresh salsa and warm chips...Along with the top shelf margarita..which was very well made..and complimented the chips...absolutely yummy!! We ordered the Hawaiian Fajitas... And they were PERFECTLY MADE!! They came sizzling to the table.. What a beautiful presentation... To our shock..there was a huge amount..we had enough for two take home meals... When you go...and you should!! You will see what I mean!! The food...The service...The value...
