Corby's Grill — Restaurant in Whitewright

9/11/24 Well here I am again editing my review. Today has been the most annoying yet. I sent my friend to get an order for us and our kids and when they rang it up he checked the receipt and noticed that they rang up my chicken sandwich for a chicken fried chicken so he told them. They told him bo problem that they were the same price and he would fix it. Well he trusted they fixed it and brought it home. He gets here and we notice that is was not fixed so we called they said they would make it right and we go up there to pick it up and he made the bad decision of thinking surly they fixed it now, but. Nope. We aren't even bothering with it. It's just not worth the head ache and gas we are using going from tom bean to whitewright so I will not be returning here for awhile.

I deleted my old bad review. I have to say everything has improved but lately when I go on lunch and get a burger it's never warm? And the day before my fries weren't either. But I'm glad to see that things have improved. I think they are pre cooking the food and then serving after someone orders it

Came again today and ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich and got chicken fried steak...

Let me tell you, if you want the best tasting, seasoned, juicy fried chicken, this is the best way to drive too. Real mash potatoes and gravy, and let me tell you this their rolls are homemade and soft, not gummy 😋 . I just happened to stop by on the way to Oklahoma, I'm so glad I did, or I would have missed out on the best tasting food that I have put in my mouth in along time. That's what I talked about while I was visiting in Oklahoma . How wonderful the food was. I said on the way back home that I was planning to stop by there. Well, I did. I was happy as a lark. Ordered the chicken meal again just as good as the 1st time. It's not the end of the story yet. I ordered 8 pieces and all the trimmings again to bring back home with me. I'm planning on making another food / chicken trip again. I watched every order that came out of that kitchen. I was so impressed. Those folks there were so nice, and they liked that came back. I live in Sherman and drove all the way there for a 4 piece catfish dinner, yet received a 4 piece chicken dinner instead. I drove all the way back to Sherman before I realized I received the wrong food and had to turn around and drive back. The reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the staff there. They were really sweet! They admitted the mistake, apologized, offered to replace it, but I didn't have time to wait for the replacement, and when I let them know I didn't have time to wait for the replacement, they promptly offered to refund my money. Although my order was wrong and I used a lot of gas to get there, I will definitely go back. The staff there are too sweet for me not to give it another shot. It may be a while before I can get back out there, but I will be back because I really want to try the fish there. Thanks for having...
