Horrible If you can't afford a nice attire, feel like a bumming it, or just having a rough day you shouldn't go to starbucks on tropicana and boulder highway. You will not only be escorted out by security but publicly embarrassed and made to look like some kind of a transient loiter. I am personally a huge fan of starbucks & their wonderful variety of quality products and beverages. It's my goto place where I can not only get work done but feel comfortable because everyone doing the same thing I'm doing. Not paying attention to anyone or anything but their electron device. Everyone has their face stuck in a phone or laptop. However in an attempt to get some work done and relieve my stress I was a publicly embarrassed and told loudly by security ( who isn't even employed by Starbucks) That management did not want myself and another woman in their store. When I asked the security guard why were we be told to leave. He himself didn't know why. So of course I go to management and inquire why am I being told to leave this store after I just purchased a coffee, I went outside to smoke a cigarette and returned; not even 5 minutes after of sitting I'm being harassed. The woman cashier i spoke to at the time look at my coffee and says oh I didn't know you purchased that. That they had a problem with people come in and loitering that didn't purchase anything. Which disgusted me even more when she said that because she was the person that not only took my order she handed me the coffee herself. She said I didn't know you made a purchase i apologize. You have to be kidding you took my order less than 10 minutes ago how do you not remember that. I also was offended and annoyed because I've seen a man sit in that Starbucks for over an hour without making any purchases yet he wasn't ask to leave.
Not to mention like i pi previously stated. I'm a huge Starbucks fan I've been to many different starbucks and sat down without making purchase just used the internet. I see people do it all the time without any problems. However these your ladies decided that certain people didn't look appealing enough or didn't meet their criteria had to leave. So instead of doing there job themselves they went outside and contacted the parking lot security and had him tell us; not ask but demand that we leave the property. Now it is not the guards fault, because he was unaware of the situation however walking up to someone in a public place and speaking loudly enough that others can saying hear "hey you have to go" it's not only unprofessional but rude. Even after the cashiers insincere a apology. I was so offended and uncomfortable. That I just threw away my coffee and left . Is this now what Starbucks represents. Read moreI'm trying to figure out how their ratings are so high. Today was my first time coming here & I had a terrible experience.
I first called to ask if they had any cold cups & the girl who answered was more than helpful in checking to see if they had one in and describing it for me. I told her that I was on my way & to hold one for me, which the drive is 30 minutes out of my way, however she mentioned that there was plenty, so no need to hold one. This isn't my first trip going out of the way for a cold cup, so I know the process. When I came to this location, I went through drive-thru because I was planning to order a venti iced shaken espresso, but when I told the girl via speaker, about ordering a cold cup, she told me that "they prefer that I come in and order the cold cup because they don't do it at the drive-thru". Therefore, I didn't even want to order my drink.
I never heard of a drive-thru not handing out a $3 cold cup through the drive-thru. I've purchased cold cups at MLK & Lake Mead location, Lake Mead & Civic Center, every SB on the east, Aliante, Henderson, Southwest, pretty much everywhere! & you would think those two first locations I mentioned would implement something like that before this location!
Anywho, I was stuck in line, so I ordered my THREE DOLLAR cup through the SB app because you can pick it up through drive-thru, and when I did that & told the girl at the window, she closed the window & brought over the older woman who I then had to repeat myself & told her that I would like my cup because I paid for through the SB app. Then the original girl came back again which I explained again that I ordered it through the app, I just want my cup. I kid you not, she then closed the window & made me wait 5 minutes. I ordered it in drive thru at 4:00p, I didn't leave drive-thru until 4:06-7ish, even though, I already paid via app. Obviously, they decided to be petty & make me wait while they made the next 3 cars behind me their drinks.
Now get this, when I got my cup, as I was pulling off, I realized my straw was opened, so of course, I turned around... as soon as I pulled up, you can't even go INSIDE. They have a window like Dutch Bros where you walk up to it and order.
So, I'm not sure why I couldn't order a THREE DOLLAR cup via drive-thru to begin...
Read moreI went this morning around 9am and ordered an iced lavender matcha latte which COMES WITH CLASSIC SYRUP . The person taking my order said they are out of the classic syrup and if I would like to substitute it for any other syrup, like brown sugar syrup or vanilla. I usually like the way the drink is, but I settled for brown sugar syrup since they were out of it, you know? …Then the person taking the order proceeds to charge me extra for the brown sugar syrup?? And so I point out that there shouldn’t be an extra charge for the brown sugar syrup since they are inconveniencing me by being out of stock of the classic syrup that usually is in the iced lavender matcha latte. (Makes sense right?) but the person taking the order said that they were still going to charge me anyway…another employee butted in and was even more rude and full of attitude when I was literally just calmly trying to get them to understand why that made no sense. “yeah so that’s only way that we can do it and we will have to charge you for it”…. That literally makes no sense!!😭It was very annoying because how are you going to charge a customer EXTRA for YOUR inconvenience, its not even a hard fix😐I cancelled the order and left...
