Eggroll Express — Restaurant in Wichita

A restaurant doesn't have to be big or have an expensive location to be a classy place. I arrived just as it hit closing time - the owner invited me to come on in and made me feel quite welcome despite the late hour. I felt so valued and I'd only been there for 15 seconds. The gentleman went on to help me with some good food options - asked questions about what I and my family liked 👍 - didn't act like it was closing time - prices were very reasonable- I was gonna get Dillons Chinese food but realized it has almost doubled in price since I last went there. That was a no go and I'd been wanting to check out this place anyways. I'm glad I did - he even gave me a free drink for being a first time customer.

As I sat down and looked around I noticed how nicely the inside was decorated. Everything was nice - there was classy instrumental music and as I sat in the nice chair at the marble table I felt truly relaxed 😌 loved the big fireplace on the TV

Food was excellent!! Already back for my second visit - instant...

We happened upon this place on a Saturday afternoon and stopped in for lunch. This is a small establishment, and only has two tables to sit to eat at. The staff working were very friendly and helped us choose something from the menu. Since we wanted to dine in, they waited a bit to cook our food that way it would be hot and fresh when a table was available. We ordered Crab Rangoon, General Tso’s Chicken, and Teriyaki Chicken, both with Fried Rice, they also came with an egg roll. The food was exceptional and the portions were large enough to have some to take home. I noticed they had a $5.99 daily special which was a 16oz box of Fried Rice, Egg Roll, and Drink. I ordered one of these to go. The service we received was exceptional. Staff made sure our order was correct and that everything tasted good. The restaurant was very clean including the bathrooms. Was having work done on my car and was hungry while waiting. I asked a guy at the shop where I could get something to eat and this is the 1st place he named off. I ran a Google search to read some reviews and was intrigued by what I read. I am so picky with my fried rice I rarely find a place I would return to. But here I am sitting at Eggroll Express not even finished eating and the Shrimp Fried Rice is so good I have to leave a review. The rice is cooked to perfection. I also got Beef and Broccoli and Crag Rangoons. The beef is tender like slices of a great steak. Flavor is good as well. The edges of the Rangoon are extra crispy but that center is Spot On! And the Woman working was Amazing! Great attitude and friendly. The location really is a Hole in the Wall. But occasionally those are the best! And this one certainly is! I'm already looking forward to my next visit and trying to figure out what to try...
