Taqueria El Fogon #2 (North) — Restaurant in Wichita

I’ve been a loyal customer at El Fogon for the past 5–6 years and have always enjoyed the food, often recommending it to others. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won’t be returning. I was given the wrong order—a Torta al Pastor instead of Carne Asada. Mistakes happen, and I was fine with that. But when I called to ask about exchanging it, the staff was extremely rude and insisted I pay again to get the correct item. It’s disappointing to be treated this way after years of support. The food here is great; I’ve explored the menu a number of times and haven’t gone wrong yet. However, my go to favorite is the al pastor street tacos. Roasted on a spit over an open flame right in front of you, there is not another place that I know of (beside the other El Fogón off of Harry) that makes this style of taco. Amazing. Good to take home, but eating fresh and in the restaurant is definitely the way to go.

Waited almost 2 hrs. for our orders which was only a table of 4 which was not as long as the table of 2 that had Waited longer then we did. And then make sure u have the waiter repeat the order to you and even then still didn't receive the order correct and got charged for what we didn't get ones of the worse service 😒 I've ever had I was trying to keep it positive but the waiter nor owner gave an apology or a discount for us at least being patient with them....
