Thao's Bistro — Restaurant in Wichita

I recently dined at Thao Bistro, and it was an exceptional Vietnamese culinary experience. The restaurant excelled in delivering authentic and mouthwatering flavors, making it a true gem for enthusiasts of Vietnamese cuisine.

The variety of dishes on the menu was impressive, catering to different preferences. The tantalizing egg rolls were a fantastic start, crispy and filled with delicious ingredients. The pho was a standout, showcasing a rich and aromatic broth, with fresh herbs and tender meat, which was nothing short of perfection.

The steamed broken rice with grilled sliced pork was another delightful surprise. The pork was succulent, and the dish had a beautiful balance of textures and flavors. Saw great comments on staff and service but our server was not great. While we were greeted, seated and menus brought timely we waited far too long to have our order taken especially being the only diners at the time. It was clear we were done with our closed menus placed at edge of table. The server even came to bust the table next to us but for whatever reason oblivious to us ready to order. Finally after being in an empty restaurant for about 15 minutes we ordered. I had to signal him for refills when he wasn't serving a family that came in. We were not brought a bill so I decided to walk up to counter. I loved my Pho but didn't care...

So, I eat a lot of Pho and really you make good Pho. or you don't know what your doing. I absolutely love this place and it is because it makes good Pho and it has also introduced me to many other traditional Viet food.

It is one of the better menus in town if you are wanting to try different things. I did not like their spring roles but then again I never like spring roles so that is not on them. Everything else I have had has been a wonderful experience to taste.
