Sunset Motel — Hotel in Wichita

I was recently evicted & had no choice but to go to a motel while my housing situation was in transition. I called all the motels on Broadway that were south of Kellogg. Of the ones who answered their phone, Sunset was the most affordable. It also peaked my interest in that it's the closest motel near the police substation at Pawnee & Broadway. I dreaded having to move into the motel, I feared it would be absolutely horrible. I'm so glad I was wrong. The couple that runs the place is super sweet. I was surprised to find a microwave & mini fridge in the room. Yeah, it's a bit run down, but you get what you pay for. Nothing of mine ever got stolen. (I lived at the motel for over a month, went to work 5 days a week, everything was where I left it every time I came home). There was only 1 disturbance the entire time I was there, & it was legit. (Someone had called 911 from a room phone & hung up, the police's locator equipment couldn't decipher which room the call came from, so they were going down the row knocking on every door)... I rarely heard my neighbors, there were never any loud parties going on. The housekeeping lady is also super sweet. Although this is a motel that is cheaper in regards to the price and not in the most ideal of areas or locals the Sunset Motel is a great option for those seeking a place to stay.

The staff here are very pleasant. The daily cleaning services are an incredible perk. The cleaning couple are incredible and will help those who are nice to them that stay in every way that they can.

Many of the people/guests at the motel are long term residents that live onsite. Children are also welcomed and able to play and be the young children that they are with no complaints.

Stayed her for my son's graduation and I don't know pot was iegel till we stayed here. the pool was running not the hot tub as advertised 3 floors the top 1 was where the pot was smoked ,every time we got in to the leavtor the pot hit u bad .they had breakfast but you could not take it up stairs. We had 3 handicaped people in our party out of 9 people this made it verry hard for us.there was trash everywhere u looked just a bad experience all the way around .I was glad to come home .could have been so...
