I’m writing this post to let everybody know that this place is very good. Food is tasty. Service is wonderful but I’m really writing because of the amount of money They charge for their prepackaged food and very unthoughtfulness in the packaging as you can see by the photos I purchased a $55 jug of olive oil and muffulettata Olives, pickled eggs and garlic well the olive oil, which is highly susceptible to leakage leaked all over the box. It was laid down sideways when I purchased it from the counter girl at the gelato counter I trusted fully that it was packaged where I would have no leakage. I am a truck driver, and I travel all over the country And buy different packages from everywhere and I’ve never had this issue. Specially, being a bottle so expensive you would think that thought would go into it not leaking like high manufactures do I’m very disappointed that I paid so much to take this oil to my family in Georgia and I’ve lost about 3 ounces of it and God knows if the air that got in it Spoils it so at this point I have a big gripe with this establishment in the packaging. Everything else was wonderful I had a big Tom sandwich which was awesome gelato was amazing with the apple pie but I’m very highly upset and I do encourage people to be careful when you purchase package goods from them and the way they pack it because you will be out a lot of money I’ve spent over 100+ dollars to transport this stuff to my family in Georgia, I do not recommend their olive oil because of the packaging don’t even know how good it is yet If you are going very far I haven’t had the chance to even taste it because it has spilled on the box I’ve gotten all over it’s been a nuisance so if the owner is reading this, I highly recommend you contact me because I’m very disappointed in your packaging again everything else was wonderful up...
Read moreVery Clean but super busy. They carry salami's custom meats, cheeses, oils, olives, breads, candy, custom beers, but very very expensive. The Molinari salami's were $20 a pound. So one small salami would be 20 bucks. Other stores carry same Molinari salami's for $7 for the exact same thing. Coppa was $23 a pound way more expensive than anything other same brand coppa's and different custom meat stores. I was very disappointed with pricing. I didn't buy anything from the store. You can find same exact meats and different stores that are not as packed for 1/3rd the price. Very very disappointed. I will not go back. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant part and this is how it went. I ordered French dip, I was very unhappy with it. Meat was very dry, it tasted old and bread was so so. The worst point the au jus tasted like colored water and fries were just frozen fries. Cost was $18. I do not recommend trying the French dip. My wife had western burger. We asked for medium rare and it came medium well but more towards the well side. Burger patty was dry with little to no flavor. Beer battered Onion rings on burger were decent but had very strong beer flavor and super greasy. Bun seemed old. Cost $18. I don't recommend trying it. My mom had a bowl of Chile and side of fries. My mom said Chile wasn't bad but again the fries were nothing special just deep fried frozen fries. Cost $16. Service was horrible from the time we sat down until we finished was 1hr 47 minutes. Super slow. Waitress was not customer oriented and just blah. Busser women was on drink refills and we always had to call them to refill. The sprite was kinda flat. The tea seemed old and water was very chlorinated. Our bill was almost 77 dollars. I will never go back. Prices to high, to many people, poor service and no...
Read moreA lot of effort went into decorating the environment. I liked the old iron farm tools and antiques of yesteryear. Worth stopping ti enjoy a type of small museum.
The huge number of dead animals mounted on the bar walls was disturbing. Callous, ghoulish, and morbid. In a world where our ecosystems are being destroyed, and half the species from 500 years ago are now extinct. Sport killing of animals seems horrid to me.
Dining room is closed during the week. We ate in their huge bar area. They made a good drink.
My fault, I ordered the Mediterranean Pizza and did not carefully read the ingredients which had preciutto (bacon) on it. Disappointed with myself . They comped a veggie pizza and about 45 minutes later it arrived. Kitchen swamped with pizza orders.
Kudos for helping me when “my” order mistake where otherwise it would have meant leaving hungry. I didn’t want to pay more than I had already spent.
The veggie pizza lacked seasoning and was over-stuffed with mozzarella A bit unappetizing as a wad of cheese on a cardboard-ish crust. One of the worst veggie pizzas I’ve had. No thought went into flavor testing this pizza. I ate a couple of slices and boxed the rest.
Seemed like plain tomato sauce for the pizza sauce.
I appreciate the effort to correct my order mistake. But I advise spending some research time on improving the quality of the veggie pizza.
Based on the quality of the pizza served me, I don’t advise ordering pizza here.
The shop was interesting with local jars of different types of olives. In olive country it’s a nice find. A large jar was less than $10.
The gelato counter had a dozen flavors. We tried three flavors and they were all delicious.
More than just a just a diner;...
