The Crazy Tomato — Restaurant in Williamsport

We were first here back in May and the food was so good it was our first stop when we visited again a couple of weekends ago. On our last visit hubby go the Italian Sub and enjoyed it but after 1 taste of my BBQ Chicken and he regretted his decision so on this visit we decided to get another BBQ Chicken to share along with a chef salad. The BBQ Chicken Sandwich is chunks of chicken in a delicious bbq sauce, topped with red onions, tomatoes and cheese on homeade Italian bread that always tastes like it just came out of the oven and absolutely delicious. Neither of us could get over how large the chef salad was, salad greens and veggies with a heaping pile of ham, turkey and cheese on top and the ranch dressing tasted like it was homemade. We ordered takeout but there is limited seating indoors and you can also pick up your order from their drive in window. Staff is great, food is even better, shame we don't have one of these close to us in White Marsh MD but trust and believe we will find reasons to travel to the area just so we have an excuse to grab...

The food here is wonderful.Most of the employees are pretty great. However I feel one employee in particular here takes his job as a joke.( Mid twenty's, 5'9", white guy, brown hair, scruff on his face, kinda heavier, glasses) Each time I come in when said employee is working either A.) he's sitting on his phone texting when he should be opening the doors because its 15 minutes past opening time. B.) rather than paying attention to the other customers he is busy flirting with whatever comes through the door. Including me and NO I do not want to talk to you or flirt with you I want my FOOD because I am HUNGRY and on my lunch break. OR C.) My order is wrong. We were hungry and looking for a place to eat. Google took me to a restaurant that wasn't open. So looking for another restaurant we stumbled upon The Crazy Tomato. What a treasure. All their breads are made fresh and in store. Their menu is fairly extensive so plenty to choose from. We are suckers for a good Steak and Cheese and ordered a large one to split. Wow, what a sandwich. We probably could have split a small one. It was packed with meat. Cooked perfectly, seasoned well and just the right amount of lettuce and tomatoes. We also got the homemade chips. They were a little greasy and needed some salt. Finished our meal off with the Funnel Cake Fries. Yep, they tasted like funnel cakes.
