Truly unbeatable value for the experience! This was our first time dining here, but we were welcomed so warmly it felt like we were regulars. The service was incredible, and they have the best diner food I’ve had in …. probably years, if I’m being honest. I love BLTs, but am cautious about ordering them somewhere I haven’t been before. I figured for the price it was worth a shot, and I was not disappointed! The bacon was perfectly crisp, tomatoes sliced at just the right thickness and not overripe, and it was topped with (I think) a spring mix in lieu of iceberg or romaine lettuce. I’ll level with you: I didn’t investigate the greens, I inhaled that sandwich so fast after that first delicious bite! My mom also thoroughly enjoyed her cheeseburger (I wish I had taken a photo of the grin on her face after taking a bite), and my boyfriend was pleased with his choice of the Swedish steak as the noon special (which wasn’t MY favorite, but he liked it). For dessert we got the lemon delight and a fudge brownie. The lemon delight was so light and dreamy, and you could tell the frosting on the brownie was homemade. Absolutely excellent! 10/10 would recommend to anyone passing through, and we definitely plan to stop again on our way back...
Read moreI saw the reviews on Google maps and decided to try this place for lunch. Maybe this was an off day, but it was very disappointing. I ended up ordering the cheeseburger and fries since they were out of my first choice. I was skeptical since the fries cost more than the burger.
The burger had to be less than 1/8lb it was so small and thin. It simply came with a slice of american cheese and a bun that looked like it came from the Dollar store. No lettuce, no tomato, nothing else. Granted, for $1.40, what should I expect, but I've seen and tasted better burgers at McDonalds for less.
While the service was quick (but again - how long does it really take to cook such a small beef patty) and courteous, I was very disappointed with the meal.
My unsolicited suggestion would be to add some lettuce, tomato, heck - even offer bacon or anything else you already have on hand; and "beef-up" your patty. Even charging $2.00 would be a good deal and customers wouldn't have to order 3 of them to feel full (a customer actually ordered this while...
Read moreThis is the tiniest little cafe I've been in! And it looks and feels like it has been there forever. And that's a good thing if you're looking for the old fashioned Mom & Pop Cafe. Their menu is simple and posted on the wall. Their prices can't be beat. Because it is a Mom & Pop Cafe, there are several people working there (there were 5 when I was there. I work at a cafe 4-5 times the size and we have 2 working) which means things are kept clean and tidy, they have a tiny grill but the cook gets the food out quickly. I had the French toast with bacon and it was so delicious! My daughter got the pancakes, which was 3 decent sized ones and brought one home. I had a bite to taste it and thought it was good, but not great. Glad I got the French Toast lol. I noticed little creamer containers and wished I had gotten coffee with cream 😄. They were adorable! I didn't use the restroom and I'm wondering how big it is lol. Might have to go back just to check it out 😆. I'm sure I will be going back...
