Sunny Street Cafe: Where the (1) Waitresses is Sensitive and you have to fix your own plate.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sunny Street Cafe, a local restaurant known for its breakfast and lunch fare. The location is convenient, the prices are reasonable, and the service is generally good. However, I have one major complaint: the 1 waitress may be allegedly very sensitive.
I'm not sure if it's because they're trained to be overly accommodating or if they just have a lot of bad days, but on the two occasions I've been to Sunny Street Cafe, the 1 waitress have been downright prickly.
For example, the first time I went, I asked to substitute avocado for the bacon in my omelet. The waitress gave me a sigh and said, "Fine, but I don't know why you'd want to do that."
The second time I went, I asked for a side of salsa with my eggs and toast. The waitress rolled her eyes and said, "** this will give me away. And I still eat there lmao.
I know it's just a little thing, but I can't help but feel like the 1 waitress at Sunny Street Cafe could use a lesson in customer service.
Now, as for the food, it's not terrible, but it's not great either. The omelets are overcooked allegedly, the pancakes are ok, and the coffee is weak. But, hey, at least the prices are reasonable.
Overall, I'd give Sunny Street Cafe a 6.3 out of 10. It's not the best breakfast restaurant in town, but it's not the worst either. And if you're looking for a place with convenient parking and reasonable prices, it's a decent option.
Just don't expect to be able to customize your order or get a friendly smile from...
Read moreUpdate: Just stopped by for breakfast. Tammy the waitress was super friendly and very accommodating. Food came out quickly and it was warm, delicious and they can even properly cook eggs over easy. Changed my review from 3 stars to 5 Stars. Good job folks.............. This is our 3rd visit. Sunday morning and not overly busy. It seemed like it took a long time for the order to come out. The waitress accidentally spilled syrup all over my pancakes bringing them to me but the waitress just had them made again. That in itself is okay, mistakes happen. The other food (2 meals) were not hot but rather luke warm when served. Upon checking out the young cashier asked us if everything was ok and I told her that the food was just warm, not hot and seemed like it stayed on the counter too long. She said "sorry" and that was all. (By not doing anything; why did you even ask?) Overall, an underwhelming experience. Will probably give them 1 more try maybe it was just a bad morning. A little cloudy over at...
Read moreHorrible experience. December 22,2024 at 11:55 am the manager at that time came over for an uncalled for scolding to us and my son. My son is 3 years old who accidentally broke one of the plastic table sitting kids menu. We apologize when we turned it in to the hostess. We obviously got to our kid after the incident but the fact here is the manager was unprofessional by coming over and scolding us the parents and my child who was scared by the big man, like what did he get by saying these are expensive blah blah in a stern voice?? Okay wanted to us to pay for something that was old that the restaurant gets in bulk? Really! They run around about $6.25 a piece! The fact that he didn’t even let us say anything, he just walked away. Well we canceled our order and asked for the bill for our drinks and they lost a frequent customer and at least minimum of $50 today. Get better manager who know how to handle small...
