Subway — Restaurant in Wilmer

I am very sad to write this review because Subway is one of my favorite places and it is good healthy food, but today my girlfriend have such a bad experience in a "privately owned " SUBWAY franchise place, that she got to my office crying because the way she was treated at this place in the Shady Grove Shopping center, she had to wait until I came back to town so I can go with her to ask for an explanation from the manager, one of the 2 attendants says she was the manager when I ask to speak with the manager, the real manager just come out the door, look it was a problem and went back in to be no part of the problem. The self described as manager start explaining when suddenly she ask her self why she has to explain anything.....this was a privately owned place and that I cannot call anybody, I told her I'll contact the SUBWAY corporation and she laughed, then I understood why my girlfriend was crying. This is my review: when I enter a SUBWAY franchise, I don't ask who is the owner of the place and then I decide what kind of sandwich I want, I entered the place because the sign says SUBWAY and that means a good sandwich. This is the first time the bad attitude of employees ruined such a good name. Do you want to see if it is true? Go visit this place in the shopping center @ Story Rd. & Shadygrove in Irving Tx and you can loose your appetite. My hope is that no because this place doesn't meet the Subway's quality and good friendly standards, all the other privately owned places...

I have a problem with the employees on their cell phones and not washing their hands before making the sandwiches. I entered the store on I45 in Wilmer and the young girl was pressing the buttons on her personal cell phone. She asked what type of bread I wanted and then she politely sat her phone on the same counter where the bread would go and began to out on gloves. I also observed a young man walk through out the facility picking up the company phone and touching and pulling at his uniform. He came to the line to put the veggies on the sandwich. I looked at them and asked if either of them were going to wash their hands. The young girl took off her gloves and caught an attitude as she walked away from the line. The young man went over to the sink and washed his hands. At that time I no longer wanted the food. I figured that they must do this regularly and the containers and food line was contaminated. I left the store without placing an order. Needless to say, I have worked in the fast food industry and I shouldn't have to ask or remind the employees to WASH their hands. Although gloves are worn, the dirty hands touch them before that are put on. Will not return...

I'm super pissed off I go to Subway often to get the meatballs in a bowl with it shredded cheese, that's it, because I had gastric. She didn't even use subways bowl she grabbed a churches chicken bowl I only pay the add on price because I don't get a complete sub. My other half is OTR so I'm most truck stops that's what they have subway. So I know the price. She was trying to charge me almost $11 for just meatballs and cheese. Than gonna get rude and basically called me a liar when I told her how they do it. She was like you mean to tell me they only charge you $3.20. Yes ma'am they do. And told her I can show her proof cause I had receipts. My husband even knew the price because he sometimes goes and get it for me. She gonna continue talking trash. Saying ain't no way she only pay that she just trying to get over. I told them to keep the meatballs cause I don't like her attitude. I'm standing by the lottery machine and still hear her talking about it to another customer. I WILL NEVER STOP THERE AGAIN!!!! 🤬🤬🤬 I had to keep reminding myself that I was to far from home and didn't have...
