To be honest, I thought I put in Ramen Kumamoto, and when my GPS took me to 95, I was super confused. So we research where were actually going, and we checked Kumamon Ramen out on Google. Terrific reviews! We decided to give it a go.
The inside is cool, with giant Anime murals along the walls. A tv wall of Anime going on too. Noice! The aesthetic is sweet.
The service is a little weird. We ordered on a tablet, which was fine, but when it's your first time there, you may have more questions. As it is a new place, I want to order the right items. The food and drinks came out quickly, so that was a plus. However, they brought my hot green tea out and I try it. I think "this green tea tastes funky". I have another sip, and realize its jasmine tea. I brought it back, as jasmine tea is gross. I used to like it, but there are so many better teas! Anyways, they say they only make hot green tea, and don't make jasmine tea, so a little contentious. Man, I know what jasmine tea tastes like! I also know that green tea is, you know, green. This tea was brown, and it was no genmaicha green tea, let me tell ya!
The food just wasn't that good. We didn't order a huge variety of items, as we went all-in on Ramen with the order. Miso, spicy miso, and tonkatsu ramen. The noodles aren't that good. They are a weird consistency (too soft), and just don't taste right. The broth was lacking depth of flavor. The tonkatsu pieces tasted okay, but the fat wasn't rendered enough, so it was a little tougher. We started with the takoyaki, which didn't have a flavorful mayo on top, and there was no furikake. The inside was nice, but lacking octopus. Probably the worst takoyaki I've ever had. The passion fruit tea with boba was good.
All in all, I'll spell it right in my GPS going forward: KUMAMOTO Ramen. Plus, Kumamoto is cheaper. I spend about $15 less at Kumamoto for my family...
Read moreThe restaurant is a beautiful inside and has nice sitting. They have many tvs to view while eating if that something that your into (one had Naruto, another the ring of power, and a sports game on the last I didn’t ask if you could change what was playing).
The food that I got there wasn’t the best. The cuts of the meat in the ramen were a little on the fatty side a which is a turn off for me but if you’re into that that’s something you could go for. Also the broth wasn’t flavorful or tasty which made the meal subpar.
We also had some chicken katsu buns which were also really fatty and a disappointment altogether.
We also got some sushi which was delicious. Honestly if that was a miss I would say pass on this place altogether.
Their boba tea was amazing which is probably one of the reasons why they get a lot of customers which I would have to agree with them I would got back for that in particular.
I would say pass on this place but it could have just been...
Read moreWe were greeted quickly as nobody was in the restaurant, orders via tablet which came super fast less than 5mins which A - tells me they had that sitting.
The food wasn’t good noodles you can tell was from like a ramen pack. I’ve always had Shaka ramen from Middletown and it is totally different
Shaka portion, flavor, freshness
This place the food wasn’t even warm To top it off once we were complete they had us wait for 40mins because there internet was down the whole time we were there.
My question to our server was why didn’t she say anything and be like hey right now we’re only accepting cash we’re having issues with our credit card machine. Instead they told us to wait and unless we had cash or they would write down our credit card information(which I was not happy...
