My husband, son and I had dinner here last night. We have been several times before and always had a good experience. The food has always been good and we have never had a problem with service until last night. It was freezing cold in the restaurant. The AC was blasting and I noticed that several other customers were still wearing their jackets in the restaurant also, so it was not just me. When our waiter came to the table, my husband placed our order abd asked if they could please turn the AC down? Before, my husband was able to even finish his sentence the waiter/bartender abruptly said “No, we can’t turn it down! It will get hot in here. I have a short sleeve shirt on and I am hot!” I have never had staff at a restaurant argue with me before and we have been to several restaurants. Completely unprofessional and I was always taught that the customer is always right and you do not argue with them! The rest of our visit was awful. The waiter obviously was upset with us. He did not come to the table to check on us and I had to ask for another drink numerous times. I asked for ketchup for my Parmesan tater tots and I was given three PACKS of ketchup….not a bottle but packets! After spending over $100 for a pizza restaurant with the awful service and attitude we recieved last night, we will not be returning. There are far better pizza restaurants in the area with accommodating and friendly staff with better pizza and a BOTTLE of ketchup...
Read moreMy teenage daughters treated me to pizza for Mother’s Day, and I had suggested this restaurant because the menu looked delicious. My expectations were high, but unfortunately, we left deeply disappointed.
To start, the service was shockingly slow. We waited at least 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and in reality, we were never properly greeted. A white couple with a child was seated next to us about five minutes after we arrived. That, of course, wasn’t the issue. The issue was that the waitress completely bypassed our table, despite us sitting there for more than 15 minutes, and went straight to the other table. She ignored us entirely—didn’t make eye contact, didn’t acknowledge our presence—and proceeded to ask them if they were ready to order.
It was deeply insulting and an unmistakable act of racism. That moment completely turned us off to the restaurant. I did raise my concerns with the manager, but based on his response, I doubt he truly understood how disrespectful and unacceptable that experience was. We ended up getting our food to go, and that was disappointing as well. It was not very good, seasoning was minimal.
I would caution anyone of color who chooses to dine at this restaurant to be mindful of how they are treated. Unfortunately, this experience served as yet another reminder that racism is still very present, even in spaces that should...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend just discovered this awesome place, and its only right down the street from us! So far, I love everything about this place. The location is very easy to find, right attached to Wilmington Brew Works, the parking lot spacious, the outside is suuuper nice. Once inside, they have tables for you to sit at and get serviced, or you can order to go, or theres a bar inside, as well as outdoor seating too. I love the fact that it's attached to WBW because while we waited for our pizza we just walked right over and had a quick drink. We ordered very basic at first - Neopolitan pizza. They only had one size available to order at the time but the woman at the register said their bigger size, would be coming soon to order. So that was my only qualm, is that the pizza wasnt that big for two people. We ended up going back afterwards and grabbing another pie 😂. The pizza. was. delicious. Absolutely amazing. Definitely excited to go back and check out what else they have to offer, so happy we...
