Port City Java — Restaurant in Wilmington

My daughters' mother and I have been loyal customers of PCJ for years. We have always ordered the same two drinks, the iced Carmello leche w/o caramel and an iced hazelnut latte with an extra shot of espresso... Upon receiving our drinks this visit we noticed they were practicaly nothing but creamer, and barely colored with coffee. They were disgusting and nothing but straight sugar. I kindly asked for a remake and they proceeded to just add a shot. After letting them know it wasn't helpful and I would just like a remake the woman rudely began to argue with me telling me no because it was made right. Since I had already attempted twice now to have them remake it and they were unwilling we literally went to another location that made them properly. We were willing to pay again just to get good coffee. The monkey junction location is always reliable with kind and helpful good vibe employees and they heard the story and assisted in making things right. Long story short, the customer service at the crossroads location was subpar and wouldn't fix my drink order insisting they were right. I will not be back to this location and have heard now that the manager there is rude and neglectful from others as well. Twice we’ve been here and the staff was very unfriendly both times- which is fine because we don’t go to PCJ for the hospitality. However, sanitation does matter. This is a brand new location and it was filthy at 0830 on a Sunday. The floors and tables were covered in crumbs and dirt. When I asked them not to put the Red Bull that they taken out of the front of house cooler ( the one customers serve themselves from) in the cup my infusion was going in, I got a strange look. You just put your hands on it after handling the register and then plop it in my cup. “we sanitize the cans”- was the response I got. Yea ok. But surprise, surprise when I looked in the cooler where the can had been, the cooler was absolutely filthy with dirt and crumbs. So you put a dirty can in my cup. Maybe I was better off going to my usual location, thru the drive thru by the hospital so I could have never known that they sit dirty Red Bull cans in your drink cup and then give YOU the strange look if you call them out. I won’t be back. This store is gross and the staff...

Service was horrible. Was not greeted when entering but other patrons were. Waited at the register to order for 5 plus minutes while you could hear worked laughing and talking. While waiting for my shakes other guests were greeted… i watched the baristas text on her phone while my espresso and ice cream sat in the blender (unblended). I specifically told the person who took my order extra, extra whip cream and very light caramel drizzle on top and not in the cup…. He wrote this down on my cup.

As I’m watching the barista who is texting on her phone she is literally putting heavy drizzle inside of my cup. I had to ask here was that my order bc i requested no drizzle in my cup. I received my order with barely any whip cream and heave caramel drizzle….

Literally it took 20 plus minutes to receive my drinks to where i didn’t even have time to get the drinks remade bc i was on limited time.
