Great Wall (Wilmore) — Restaurant in Wilmore

Great Wall is consistently a "no let downs" local restaurant. We never, ever think of Great Wall as an alternative place to eat. It is usually our first consideration. We have our favorites memorized by menu #. One of my favorite favorites is #S13, House Special Combination. I can either get two full meals from this or if I am feeling "prudent", I will get three meals from the amount of food they provide.

The staff are friendly, but don't be surprised if they handle order taking and paying quickly and don't spend a ton of time gabbing with you. They are usually very busy, and it is all hands on deck there. You can dine in, they have seating for about 20-25 people. Parking is not a problem. We use Great Wall as a take out place because we live three minutes away. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.

It must be pretty close to authentic Chinese, as the international students from China and the Far East attending the local university and seminary are frequently seen congregating there. Absolutely love Great Wall. It's my go-to spot for Chinese. Even if I'm in Nicholasville, i will drive the extra few min to Great Wall. I usually call in for carry-out, but they have an online ordering option too. No delivery, but thats never been an issue for me personally, because lets be real, China King takes forever to deliver, and Wahmei just sucks in general. Prices at Great Wall are just right, and I've never had a single incorrect order. Super fast, usually ready in 10 min. Bonus points for atmosphere because the staff are super friendly, and there are always people dining in.

We ordered food and it was delicious so we ordered again. My boyfriend specifically said white rice and add cabbage to my order but they gave us fried rice instead and little cabbage. I called to see if I could bring my food back in and have it remade but she wasn't willing to do that. She argued with me about how she didn't get it wrong. Recommended this place to my dad and my daughter before this incident and they were not pleased with the taste of the food. I saw in another review someone said they argued with them as well.
