Ice & Soul — Restaurant in Wilson

Let me tell you - Ice & Soul Food Truck absolutely showed out at the reggae concert in Wilson last night! The food was so good it had me doing my happy dance, and writing Google review. LOL!

The oxtails were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted...tender, flavorful, and that gravy? Out of this world! The rice was cooked to perfection, every grain soaking up all that rich flavor. And the collard greens… whew. I don’t know what magic seasoning was in there, but they were so good they beat out both of my grandmothers’ (RIP) recipes. Now that’s saying a lot! Sorry y'all!

Then came the cornbread. I can’t even begin to describe how good it was. Moist, buttery, slightly sweet…just ridiculous how good that food was from top to bottom.

I ordered a catfish plate. Honey cornbread is straight6.5/10 and yams9/10 are good. I ordered extra sides, collards no flavor at all and texture kinda reminds be of bay leaves or something??lmbo idk if it was cooked long enough??3/10. Im used to greens being cooked with seasoning pork meat or Smokey turkey meat. My fish was okay until I realized it was raw I broke off bout 2 pieces until I realized it was raw. I ordered the wing dinner with two sides; collard greens and macaroni and cheese, with an extra side of sweet potatoes. Every bite was absolutely delicious! All fried items are made to order, ensuring everything is served hot and fresh.

I also tried the piña colada icy, while my mother enjoyed the peach, it was the perfect, refreshing treat in this summer heat.
