I absolutely love when quality places come to our area and Chaos coffee is an amazing place worth visiting over and over until it becomes the old acquaintance.
We live the town over and during one of our trips out hiking, we found Chaos coffee and finally decided to pop in (why did we wait so long?)
Immediately upon entering, the atmosphere is spacious yet inviting and friendly. Beautiful art, old remnants of history, coffee sway and stunning pastries guide you to the counter — where the list of flavors is anything but world class — especially if your taste buds wonder as much as your soul.
It was our 15th anniversary when we walked in and it made the morning even brighter. The husband grabbed a small double shot latte with the twist of “brown sugar cinnamon” with a fancy sugar sprinkle we were dying to try with our lobster tail pastry (which was equally delicious). I grabbed a maple latte and it was everything my Maine heart needed on the sunny morning.
We also grab some delicious swag — drinking chocolate (if you’ve never tried one you should) as well as some masala chai latte mix to enjoy at home.
So with all of that — Chaos coffee is a GEM…which can be rare in our beautiful area of Maine.
So, if you are coming out to ski, to fish, to hike, to camp or to leaf peep — I would highly recommend that your visit includes a quick...
Read moreCame in to order two coffees and was very pleased. My first impression was the clean establishment, followed by a friendly smile and hello. When preparing to order, there was a clear concise chalkboard menu, with neat, legible handwriting.
I ended up ordering a large hot drip coffee and a cold brew, both of which were brewed to perfection.
Hands down I would say this shop is the best coffee in the Jay/Wilton/Farmington area, possibly the state. I honestly can't say that I've had better coffee elsewhere.
Keep up the good work, I look forward to my next visit.
Edit: Upped the rating to five stars. I have since filled out a coffee card, tried various drinks, and could not be more impressed. The services continues to be outstanding, and the coffee continues to be fantastic. Again, best coffee in the state if not the country.
Edit 2: Life's Perks has recently started roasting their own coffee beans. This has only improved their coffee. They are truly serving ebony nectar...
Read moreWhat gets me ridiculously jazzed up? You guessed it, an outrageously amazing cup of joe! Sooooo, Where can I score an awesomely absurd cup of java with over-the-top service and staff? Well, I'm talking about this quaint little coffee shop in Wilton, Maine, where the coffee is always scorching, the staff never chilly, the vibe incredibly cozy and the coffee feels like a hug in a mug.The owner isn't too shabby either! Since I can't swing by Chaos Coffee Company every single day, I've got my own dark roast for home pleasuring. Seems Amy Nicole roasts one mean bean I'll tell ya.
Without my morning coffee, I'm just like a dried-up piece of roast goat....
Remember this: Coffee is a cup of hope in a world full of chaos...
