This place is way better then it's current rating. Its easily a 4.7 or higher. Were from out of town. We stayed in wilton randomly to make a day trip to Acadia because the hotel cost was affordable. On the first night we tried this restaurant after a failed attempt to find something on a menu at a different local spot. I had the cheeseburger tacos. They are by far the most delicious burgers I've ever had. The meat was incredibly well cooked and delicious and their homemade sauces are perfection. We also had a giant pretzel. Also perfectly cooked. The next day we headed to acadia hoping to make it back for dinner at this same restaurant. My husband and I have a side quest to find the best margarita pizza we can find and the previous night they were out. We didn't make it and spent the next day climbing tumbledown mountain using the food from this restaurant as a reward afterwards for motivation. We went back, I received 2 perfectly cooked cheeseburger tacos again with a side of the tastiest mashed ever and he was absolutely thrilled with his pizza and he is very critical when it comes to finding the perfect pizza. The ambience is very cool. There's seating indoor and outdoor with a fire pit and a bar area. Our servers both nights were absolutely excellent and I asked to speak to the owner to share our love of this gem. He was readily available to speak to and his wife and co-owner was also at the bar as if she was hanging out with the crowd. This place feels like your best friend opened a cool restaurant out of their lake house and everyone comes to chill every night for great food, great drinks and impeccable vibes. If we lived in the area this would be our spot. We came to wilton by accident and have now planned a trip in the future to attempt tumbledown mountain over again and eat at our new favorite restaurant. We also plan to take a day trip soon just to have lunch here again. Its a 3.5 hour drive from home. Absolutely worth it. Try the square sauce with your fries....
Read moreMy husband and I were on a drive in Jay and ended up in Wilton, we ended up at this place for dinner, as soon as we walked in, we were acknowledged by the staff, very friendly, she told us it was a seat yourself kind of deal, we sat by the corner window with a beautiful view of the water, we started with a blueberry mojito and a JD with blackberries, both drinks were delish, my one feedback on the mojito is to add more blueberries, then we started with the fried pickles, very tasty, nice and crispy and they had a spicy kick to them came with a side of ranch, we moved on to our main course I had the Bass burger which consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, 3 delicious fried onion rings, with house house, it was very fresh, the Patti was very fresh and tested great, I had it with the truffle fries which was $4 up charge, however take my money! The fries are delish they are homemade super fresh! My husband had the bacon burger a nice fresh Patti loaded with crispy bacon and he had the regular fries, which were really good as well, however get the truffle fries! We didn’t ended up getting dessert we were stuffed, if you go wit Wilton Maine, stop here you will not be...
Read moreCute place. One appetizer dumpling or potsticker was tasty rice balls were very ok. But when we arrived we were told they wouldn't serve alcohol until we had eaten. We discussed that was different that normally you have a cocktail while waiting for the food. But we didn't cause and issue and complied. After we ate our appetizers we again asked for a drink menu and we were told they couldn't allow public intoxication... my friend had literally just gotten off work and this was our first stop. I said who's intoxicated and she walked away. We paid and left. Not a fan of being treated that way. We were not intoxicated at all. Lastly... the stools were extremely heavy and im a 130lb person... my friend had to help me maneuver the stool as it was to heavy for me; maybe that was her reasoning... idk... Anyway.. thought others may want this...
