Amazing Joe's Steak House — Restaurant in Winchester

Really crowded so it must be good right? Right. Food was good, if you don’t mind braving large crowds of people. Most wait in their cars until the beeper goes off. It just happened to be about ten below zero the night we took our granddaughter and her friend. I didn’t get the Cajun seafood fettuccine and I regret it. I did order the grilled salmon salad and it was large and satisfying. The apple pie desert was fabulous too. Others had steak and were happy. The onion ring’s appetizer was good, yet difficult to share as it was presented on a spike more or less. There weren’t enough rings to go around, two each for a party of four? I should have taken more pictures of everyone’s food yet by the time it arrived we were all famished. Big crowds do lend themselves towards slower service. They’re still new in town so perhaps in time they’ll get the kinks worked out. Part two: Made it back in to dine and got there earlier in the evening. All the kinks have been worked out. If you serve good food, they will come. On December 26, 2024, my husband and I dined at the newly opened Amazing Joe’s in Winchester, Indiana. We arrived promptly at 4 pm, when the doors opened, and were quickly seated. By 4:30 I observed that every table was occupied. When I left at 4:50 the waiting area was full. The wait staff was impressive in their promptness, courtesy, and attention. My husband and I both ordered catfish, baked potato, and Italian salad, and everything was very good. The catfish was crispy on the outside and flaky and moist on the inside. The Italian salad was a refreshing mix of greens, tomatoes, salami, Provolone, black olives with Italian dressing. If i could give 10 stars i would! I had approximately 30 friends/family members coming into town for an event Saturday 2/15. I was looking for an establishment that could accommodate that size of party. I messaged Chad on a day the restaurant wasn’t open, asking if we could reserve a room for everyone the night of 2/15. He was prompt with his response and offered opening the restaurant a bit early just for us to accommodate the party since it was going to be a busy day with the Valentine’s Day holiday. This was unexpected but highly appreciated! We were able to have everyone in and enjoyed the entire dinner from start to finish.
