This place is a must stop if you are traveling along i40 and passing Winslow. The food is bland and isn't good. The owner said the recipes havent changed since 1998 when she bought the place. The atmosphere is awesome, though. The waitresses wear leggings and t-shirts that say 'Pink'. You cannot tell the staff from the patrons. If you want to know what Winslow is all about this place is perfect. The gift shop and cocktail lounge no longer exist. There is a sign to the right of the front door when you walk in that says, "this part is closed". So only the restaurant area is open. The gift shop and cocktail lounge no longer exist. Entre’ was an interesting place. The food was okay, I’ve had much better. The egg drop soup (if you want to call it that) was more like flavored water with a few ingredients floating around in it. No flavor, pretty sad looking bowl of soup or water. The ice tea was the same, not much flavor. The potstickers had an interesting taste to them(not great), and the dipping sauce had No flavor. The atmosphere hasn’t changed in over 40+ years. Needs to be cleaned better, needs updated everything!! And the bathrooms REALLY need to be remodeled. It’s amazing this place is still open after so, so, so many years. Would I recommend it? Well, definitely order your food from the menu, don’t bother with the buffet. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was quiet. We got the buffet. The egg drop soup was hot. The rest of the food was very cold. When I mentioned this to our waitress, she said that the steam table of the buffet was turned on. I asked her if she ever ate any of the buffet food and got no answer. The lady that was the cashier said that they cook the food before it goes into the chafing pots. Then she said that the water under the steam table was 180°. If it really was 180°, that food would have been boiling hot. If we eat here again, we won't be using the buffet. We paid $14.50 each for 2 people to eat the buffet food. Plus $ for our drinks.
