Bobo's Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

Three stars because the employees are all friendly. I am always a little concerned when a low-to-mid price range restaurant gets all 4-5 stars. Places like fast food, delis, grills, bars, etc. It kind of makes me wonder if it's a lot of friends and family padding the reviews. But, it was close to home and we hadn't tried it so we figured why not. I'll start with the good. The food was fine. Even though the burgers are way smaller than the buns and super thin they still had a decent flavor. I wish my burger had had more than a very thin spread of pimento cheese in the very middle of the burger. The pimento cheese was actually really good. It just needed a lot more on the burger and spread out so you get more than a thin bit in the very middle of the sandwich. Quina salad was actually good and had a nice flavor to. The bf had the mushroom burger with Swiss and bacon. He said it also had a good flavor. Again, the patties were just really small and thin. Huge buns for a small burger. The rating was a 93 which is not very good tbh. Especially since you usually get warnings on when the inspector will be in. That was a little troubling. Also flies all over the place and the floor definitely needed to be cleaned. I doubt I'd ever go back but if you want something fast and cheap that's not fast food then this may be for you. The Bobo's Deli & Grill Experience ( Call-in/Pick-up Edition). On my salad quest, I googled and saw Bobo's was not too far from me and the reviews looked pretty decent. So I called in and spoke with someone pleasant and ordered their Southwestern Chicken salad but without the chicken.

This salad comes with chicken, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, black bean & roasted corn salad, sliced avocado, and topped with crispy fried onions. However, I got this salad without avocado and the chicken. The salad also comes with a taco shell, which I got on the side.

Once arriving to pick up my food, I came inside and picked up my order. While carrying it to the car, I noticed the bottom of my order was hot. I also noticed I didn't have my taco shell. So I pulled up the drive-through window and said I think I have the wrong order. I was given the correct food and asked if I wanted a dessert. I asked for their chocolate cake.

Once home, the salad was outstanding, and I liked the crispy onions. The cake was not the best but a good gesture for giving me the wrong order. I would go back to Bobo's Deli & Grill. The customer service is pretty good, and the salad menu looks fantastic. I cannot wait to try their...

We love Bobo's! Our family typically eats here at least twice per month. It's affordable, food is always great and hot/fresh, staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Huge plus that they offer gluten free buns. I have Celiac, and have never gotten sick after eating here. I always order a burger and fries. A few weeks ago, I actually ordered my food without requesting a gluten-free bun mistakingly (brain fog). After several minutes, I realized my mistake and immediately ran to the counter to let them know, hoping they hadn't already made my food. Unfortunately, they had the burger and fries completed, but offered to remake my food including a gluten-free bun at no charge. I was extremely apologetic, and they were so nice and understanding about it. I will never have a bad thing to say...
