Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

This is the closest one to our house and we love the food at Chick-Fil-A so we visit quite often, however the service here has really gone down over the past year. The food is always great and everyone is always very friendly and nice, but there have been so many mishaps just about every time we come anymore. We were handed the drinks for 2 kids meals but did not receive them, I assumed they were stuffed in our bag because it was so heavy but after driving off and checking they were not. I had to come back inside. I ordered a combo one morning and somehow got charged for an extra coffee I never ordered. She screamed out the window that I forgot my coffee and once I checked the receipt that I was charged for it I went back inside and said I’m sorry I did not mean to order an extra coffee and she said your fine and handed me the coffee, I had to get to work so I didn’t argue. They left the dressing I ordered for my wrap out and then this morning we paid for egg and cheese on the number 1 combo which we did not get. One lady kept my card one morning and paid for the next person on lines order and gave it to them. I’m sure it was an accident but I had to cancel my card and pay 15.00 for a new one. It is just something everytime we come anymore. Idk why they can’t get it right anymore! I expect the best from them because they aim to be the best but I think we will be laying off of this fast food restaurant for a while. I stopped at this Chick-fil-A on April 7th, and it was not a pleasant experience. I waited several minutes for someone to help me, which wasn't a big deal. However, the young man who helped did not see my drink, so he started making one. Then, a woman in a dark checked shirt, which I believe indicates she was a manager, abruptly walked up and said here is your drink. I said it didn't look like it was mixed the way I wanted and asked if I could have the one the team members prepared for me.

She rudely replied no and that he had dumped it out. Then she walked away without any concern for whether I was happy with my order. To his credit, the team member did walk over and apologize once the woman had walked away, but he said there was nothing he could do.

Seeing as I needed to head to the church across the street where my grandma’s funeral was being held in an hour, I did not stay to argue my point. However, once I got to the church and tried my drink, it was so poorly mixed that I threw it in the trash.

The drink was ninety percent ice and not even drinkable or recognizable as the half lemonade and half unsweet tea I ordered. Making matters worse, the piece of chicken on my grilled chicken club was so small that it just tasted like bread. To be fair, my girlfriend was happy with her original chicken sandwich, and the fries did seem to be fresh.

The last (3) recent visits were a waste of time & money. Today, 8/12/23, I ordered a bacon/egg/cheese muffin & coffee. I was overcharged because the person added a hash brown (I don't eat this item). Then they said they were out of coffee & would make some. Went to my table, person delivered my sandwich & said nothing about the coffee. Finally got my beverage and it was the worst coffee ever, I took it to the restroom & dumped it. Out of all the fast food places, McDonald's has the best coffee & it's only .89 cents (senior discount). Chick-fil-A offers no discounts for seniors or veterans, I'm both. The previous time I ordered coffee & an egg/cheese/bacon sandwich. Got the coffee & went to a table. Person came out & said, "Can u come back to the register, I'll need the change back that I gave u because I gave u too much change & undercharged u". Went back to the register & paid the additional amount & reminded them that I still needed my sandwich. I took the lid off my coffee & it was so full I couldn't put in the cream ( I asked for them to leave me room for cream when I ordered). Another time I ordered coffee, a sandwich & "black" coffee.
