China Kitchen — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

This was my spot until the lady was extremely rude. My family and I would have Chinese Thursdays and sadly we now have to find another place. I accidentally ordered two general chicken combos and realized that I needed one sesame combo instead. So I tell her once I get inside to pay because I didn’t realize I had ordered wrong until I saw the check on the bag. She looks at me rolls her eyes, says something to the guys cooking, then tells me my total is 30 and some change. So at this point she is charging me for all three combos when I only need the two combos. I tell her I am not paying for food I do not want or need and apologized for my mistake. However, I am not taking home three combos I’m only taking home two. She still acts like she isn’t going to cook a sesame chicken combo and like I’m still causing a huge problem. Just a reminder, I ordered from here plenty of times. I mean easily more than 20 times. I will never give them a dime. Ever again in my life. I waited in the store for 15 mins before she even tried to help me in the first place. I am polite and wait my turn but I have never been treated like that by a business and I had to put my two cents in here bc they will never get any of my...

When this place originally opened, I thought they were the best in town, but unfortunately over time, the prices has gone Up, and the Quality AND Quantity has gone Down quite a bit, on a scale of 1-10, it's a strong 4...

I now find myself traveling way across town to (The China Wok) which is a bit inconvenient as for traveling, but if I'm going to spend my hard earned cash, it's going to be worth it...

Hopefully, China Kitchen will get wind of this review, and make a few changes.

UPDATE - 7/28/2023 - UPDATE As promised to be fair, I took Another visit back at China Kitchen and they Did NOT disappoint this time around. Glad to know someone may have been listening, and stepped up their game..

The quality of the dish was great, and they definitely improved on the quantity, I feel as if I received my $$$ worth in both categories..

Been ordering from this restaurant for two years never had any issues, never returned anything, until today ... Ordered vegetable noodles and kung pow chicken... The noodles were very salty, and the kung pow chicken was not spicy, chicken was not crispy and there was no sauce.. understandable, everyone has an off day.... The issue was their behavior and inability to be tactful... I returned the food and the two people I spoke to that work there made a scene in front of a restaurant full of customers being loud and drawing attention to the situation... very classless and unprofessional. Disappointing.

Update: I paid $18.46 in cash, but then get a text from them saying they cancelled my order because my card got declined... When I called to ask why that was done the man I spoke to said the manager did it . I will not be buying food from this place again. Add lying to the list of their lack of...
