China House — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

My place of work frequently orders from this establishment. We have had issues with the personnel at the restaurant being less than friendly when ordering but the food is good. We placed a 68$ order today of which was an order of crispy Rangoon’s and an order of crispy wontons. We received our order and paid the delivery person after inspecting that all items had been delivered. It was when we opened the bags labeled 5 and 5a that we noticed we had received two orders of crispy wontons and not an order of wonton’s and Rangoon’s. When we called the restaurant to explain a 20 minute conversation ensued. We attempted to calmly explain what had happened and only met hostility and an insinuation that we didn’t know what we are talking about. At first we were told we paid for and ordered two orders of wontons. It was explained to the restaurant staff person that we had the receipt with the two different items listed and that we paid extra for the Rangoon’s. The lady on the phone proceeded in a hostile manner to tell us we were confused and to open the bag. This was done and one of the wrappers opened to reveal pork and not the cheese concoction in Rangoon’s. When this was explained to the lady she persisted with the fact we were mistaken and ordered wontons. After realizing that it was a waste of time to continue going in circles and getting no where I explained that she could come and look for herself. She stated she would bring us the Rangoon’s but that we would pay a 1.75 for her to come. I told her at this time we would no longer order from her restaurant and that her customer service skills were some of the worst I had ever experienced. I was not going to pay for her to correct the mistake made by her staff. I advise and encourage anyone looking for Chinese cuisine to order elsewhere. Wanted to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Ordered bean curd with vegetables, Crab Rangoon, chicken wings, and a large shrimp fried rice. The bean curd with vegetables was delicious and the portion was huge! The sauce was great and not overly done. The Crab Rangoon were crispy and full of flavor, the sack was full of them! The shrimp fried rice was absolutely delicious. The large shrimp were perfectly tender and there were more shrimp than any restaurant we have been to. This was always my go too, but something has changed drastically. I'm not exactly sure what it is but mostly I think it's the quality of the food! I mean I could of made this dish myself a whole lot better and for the convience it wasn't worth the price! I am a foodie and for the chicken wings and shrimp fried rice I should of waited for a restaurant for 3$ more and can get all you could eat.
