I go to this wafflehouse to get some food at around 5:20 am. I see people working inside, but the door is locked. Another worker is just walking around outside on his phone. Another outside smoking(older woman). I was super confused and none of the workers did anything to let me know what was going on. A sign on the inner door said, "NO DINE IN, NO TAKE OUT." I went back to my car parked right In front and I check my phone to make sure they're open because it was Easter. They were. Throughout this whole time a tall young worker kept glancing at me. Finally she comes out(cause she sees I havn't left yet) and tells me, "We're staying closed for another 30 minutes." I asked why and she says, "Some stuff happened last night and we're trying to clean up before our manager gets here." I'm like, "ok 🤨." And stay in my car to wait. Wasting my time being closed when they're not suppose to be and I'm super hungry and nothing else was open. About 15 minutes pass by. A worker changes the sign but since it's on the inner door and not the entrance door, I couldnt see what it said from my car and was just confused. Appearantly they had opened back up and they see me sitting right there in front of the window in my car and say nothing. Several other customers beforehand had to leave and were agitated because they couldn't understand why it was closed either. Finally after the sign is changed, an older man pulls in and I noticed he was able to get inside and they start taking his order. At the point I realized they opened and I had been sitting there for an additional 5 minutes(20 min altogether) and no one let me know anything. I go inside and confront them and then I place my order and I told them I'd be contacting the manager because they weren't suppose to be closed, and the younger tall woman tried copping an attitude but uktimately had no defense. l left after getting my food. Very poor customer service and very inconvenient. People not doing their job right and just wanting some time to not work is what it...
Read moreGot a large Togo order today around noon and they weren’t that busy. Plenty of seats. The young lady at the counter that took our order was very nice. We got a soda and a coffee while we waited. She said 10 minutes. Sat at the counter to wait for the $45 Togo order plus cash tip. Mind you, NO ONE is at the counter and NO ONE is waiting to be sat! I have been in the service industry for 20 yrs. I literally do the same thing they do. The manager came over and rudely demanded we move to the seats at the window to wait. When I explained we were only waiting for a couple more minutes and we’d gladly give up our seats if other dine in customers were to arrive, she rolled her eyes so far back in her head I thought she’d fall over. She said we weren’t allowed to sit there. Wow. I understand if you’re busy and you needed those extra seats. But they didn’t. I also understand procedures in a take out/dine in situation. But being kind doesn’t cost a thing. She acted like we were discussing humans and made us really uncomfortable. This was always my favorite WF. But this terror of a manager (I know she was in charge because of her different uniform), ruined it. I would never treat my customers like she did us. Moving to a waiting area was not the issue. It was how she handled the situation. I bet she’s on Santa’s naughty list. Sunday before Christmas. It’s really shameful she couldn’t just be pleasant. Food was still good. And the girl that took our order was super sweet. I feel bad for the waitstaff to have to deal with this terrible woman...
Read moreI usually love going to waffle house however during my shift this morning me and my sidekick stopped at this one to grab breakfast. I am a security officer and had been working since 9pm. The woman cooking who happened to be aftrican American gave me a look of pure hate. Of course I was in my uniform and it is similar to law enforcement. When the cashier went to call my order she snapped at her to not to read it. The cashier asked me to wait outside so I did. Another customer came in as I was leaving and she had no problem with the cashier reading his order. When I went back in to get my food she continued to give me the most horrific look of hate. I still gave them a $10 tip to split. Upon eating the food we noticed that the hashbrowns for my partners cheese steak bowl were barely past raw and my eggs were hardly cooked over easy. I will not be going back. It is a shame that those who protect are treated with such disrespect. Shame on her. It is what it is though. You can't make people change their attitude but I can change where I eat. In my opinion any law enforcement or security officer need to steer clear. Next time it might be worse and cause a food...
