We love Creekside Lanes! The Kids Bowl Free program makes summers special and we’ve hosted birthday parties here. The recent updates were much needed and we appreciate them. The staff is always friendly and helpful. When we don’t do the kids bowl free program we’re still happy with the prices and have great times.

PLEASE READ!!!

I am definitely not the kind of person the write reviews but the more I reflect on my experience today the more it really pisses me off.

So my girlfriend and I are long distance. Today I asked her to meet me halfway so we could spend some quality time and go bowling. Halfway for us happened to be Winston Salem. So we met at Wendy’s right by the bowling at 1 PM and then went to the Creekside bowling alley at 2.

We pull into the alley together since we road together from the Wendy’s, and we noticed the parking lot looked full. We walked inside and there were two women behind the counter, one woman was talking to another customer who presumably had been there for a while as she had a cart of stuff she was pulling behind her. The other woman was sitting behind the counter on her phone. She said nothing to us, I thought maybe she didn’t work there, but then a customer brought their shoes up to her and then she put them away.

Finally, the customer talking to the other lady behind the counter realized that we were waiting to talk to the other lady working behind the counter and apologized and the woman behind the counter said, “no that’s okay.” Looked at my girlfriend and I and said, “ yall want to to bowl? Well I don’t have anything available, I have a league finishing up right now and then Girl Scouts taking up all the other lanes, I can’t fit you in today.”

I tried interjecting and asking how long we’d have to wait but she kept interrupting me. Because my girlfriend and I could’ve waited. Not to mention when we walked in, I noticed two or three lanes open, maybe they weren’t functional but this lady said nothing about them. Keep in mind, she said the league was finishing up, and it was 2 PM. So you’re telling me that the Girl Scouts and league were going to proceed to bowl for the next six hours or that no lanes would open in six hours?

I just don’t understand any of it. That’s simply not how you do business. I left so angry, because my girlfriend drove 55 minutes and I drove an hour and twelve just to have our plans thrown out the window. We ended up bowling elsewhere, and thank god because we had a blast.

Now I’m not an entitled brat, if this woman was nicer and I could’ve had an actual conversation like hey I’m so sorry we got slammed today, the wait could be two hours or more, or if she said people called ahead and booked those lanes for the rest of the day then I’d understand and wouldn’t have been upset. Like Jesus, I used to be a server at bonefish so I understand wait times and the hospitality industry. But being an adult and talked down upon, interrupted as someone who was going to pay money for their business just irritates me beyond belief.

All I was trying to do was take my girlfriend out for a nice date night and I was treated like a child. Do. Not. Go. Here. I’ve read other reviews and I’m not the only one this has happened to. There’s better options around. With better people who’d treat you like a...

I would have gave lower if I could. Singed up for the summer kids bowling program which gives your child 2 free games of bowling a day with the printed coupon. At first things were ok.The place is run down but it's much cheaper than other bowling alleys. My 4 year old son finished his first game and we were cut off and not able to start his second game. I asked the front desk they claimed we bowled 2 games which we hadn't. Let me note this and I dont cate if its a bowling alley or not but taking a huge puff of your vaporizer before you approach a customer is very rude and disrespectful. Any way she claimed we bowled 2 games and proceeded to try and argue with me about it in front of my son which made me even more upset after learning we couldn't start our second game. There was no apology. And she still kept hassling me that I was wrong as I walked out the door. I will never go...
