I had a bad experience in this place. I ordered a basic breakfast, with only one change: I requested to replace the sausage or meat for one extra egg instead. The server (unfortunately I didn't take her name) sounded frustrated with my request, but tried to enter the change in her mobile ordering system. I ordered coffee, that was tasteless and cold. Then the awaited breakfast came, no extra egg though, and no sausage or meat. I was hungry and ate my breakfast as it came. The server passed by me several times looking away. When I was done the bus table person came along. I told him what had happened and requested to get the sausages to go, since they were missing and no replacement egg had been brought on my breakfast. This guy was professional and acknowledged my request right away. While I was waiting for the sausage to go, the original server came along (finally) and I mentioned to her what had happened. Well, she just tried to start an argument with me, when I told her the extra egg never came she only repeated, several times in an unfriendly voice "you said no meat, right"? // Anyway, I think I had back luck with this one server. The food was not stellar but not bad, and I have no inkling to think the rest of the staff wouldn't be as professional as the bus table person. The place sits in a nice spacious corner with sidewalk tables and inside sitting. I'm guessing it's a good breakfast place in general. Unfortunately because of this experience, I am not able to...
Read morePros: great biscuits..very fluffy..highly recommend. Eggs Benedict had generous slices of ham and excellent hollandaise sauce. Pancakes were light and tasty. Cons: Server recommended the Chicken Fried Steak and since this is one of my favorite dishes I had to try it. I've had Chicken Fried Steak in many restaurants in the Bay area/Sacramento area and the one I had here was just not good at all. Either it was pre-made (we were there right at 8:00 am so I don't know how that would have happened) or it was made with previously frozen ingredients...not sure what the issue was but it was extremely tough and very overcooked. How a dish can be bone dry while also being covered with gravy is beyond me...didn't finish it. The only saving grace was the biscuit that came on the side. Very fluffy and flavorful with a nice country gravy. Another con: ordered and paid for a "side of toast" and received one piece of bread cut in half. Since when is one piece of bread considered a side of toast? Last (and this isn't a big deal...more of a note to the restaurant about their closing crew)..no ketchup in our ketchup bottle... swapped it for another one from another table..empty also...tried a third time and got another empty bottle. Finally gave up. This was 8:00 am so clearly the closing crew is cutting some corners. Overall a good experience but for the price some...

Conclusion Winters is a cute tiny town. This restaurant was good, staff professional and friendly, foods great, bathroom clean, cute decoration inside, and they had a little bar area (but I could be wrong) I saw people sitting at. I liked this restaurant and this cute little town. It was easy to get to and quiet. There was an event starting at 6pm tonight, but we didn't stay for it. I'd...
